3 months post-op, Christmas will be interesting!

Hello all, three months post op and doing really well.  Have found a few foods that don't agree with me, which is normally not a huge problem.   More often than not, I have to remind myself to eat these days!

Christmas will be a huge test though.  I can't seem to tolerate turkey breast, something to do with the "stringy" texture I think - just cannot seem to chew it to where my tummy will accept it.  Will have to try the dark meat and smother it with gravy - although something in me says that defeats the purpose a bit!

Avoiding the sausage rolls and mince pies is a whole other issue!    Any ideas for more suitable festive nibbles?    Store brands would be nice, since am not much of a baker or a cook!

Cheers!

I have to admit that I just accept defeat at Xmas! IMO it is a time to enjoy and so I do! In fact, I did it even when I was still in the losing phase.

I can't eat the quantity so it doesn't matter all that much! How do nuts work with RNY? For me they are an excellent filler snack.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Hey Suze!!

Great to see you and hear you are doing so well! Yeah-foods and figuring out just what to eat can be a challenge. I still struggle with that. There are days where I will eat the same basic foods because I just cannot think of what else to eat! LOL!

And I have to say that I think that my new homeland has WAY better treats and goodies than America did! LOL! I also am going to have to steer away from all those delicious treats!!

Congrats!!
