hi everyone,
i just joined and thought i would say hello to you all.
i sure appreciate the opportunity to communicate with you(s)
i'm going through a phrase of depression based on a relationship that has changed in that we rarely see each other and communication has just about stopped, and on the rare occasions we do talk, we end up falling out of petty things.
i want us to get close again but its not happening.

i feel heartbroken.

Hi Trevor and welcome!

We are really a very new community here at OH-so you will end up being one of the "Originals"! Cool, yeah?

We are all just finding our way and starting to open up some communication/dialog on this board. We all have so mu*****ommon-so I do believe we will all get to know each other much better and hopefully feel like we have a few new friends we can share with and get support from as well.

Relationships are intense even  on good days, that is FOR sure! Having a relationship going through collapse or crisis is VERY stressful and can also be depressing.

I deal with depression as well. Mine sort is can be "situational" and will come and go depending on stress and life. I understand the hurt though.

There are lots of things I could say like "Everything happens for a reason" or "Every cloud has it's silver lining" but seriously-I have lived long enough to know that sometimes we need some time to just feel the hurt and bring ourselves back to the classroom of life after a kickdown.

That's life. I think sometimes when we are growing up and in the media-we are taught to think that the "normal" human condition is HAPPY and SATISFIED. Not true. Check out history. Life is work and learning and love and sadness too. It's all that humanity that makes us who we are. It's a fact.

So-I suppose you are just in the middle of your journey learning something new. We are all there along that road you are on somewhere. Just keep reaching out. I hope you can come here often and get to know some of the other amazing folks here.

Peace,
T

I agree with Miss Redd...  It's a question of time.

I know ths feeling all to well.  I heard a really pertanent thing the other night.  The you that is depressed and hurt, is not the you before you met this person...  It is that first you that this person first fell for...  So therefore consider trying to become the real you again (likely to be improved because of this experience)...  This might win them back - or you might attract someone that can resiprocate...

The last time i was heartbroken I decided to change my life - gastric band was part of it...  the time before I went on a holiday with friends - and laughed solidly for a week, and it seemed to just reset the happiness levels in my brain..

Good luck Trevor...  Like Miss Redd this forum can be a bit quiet, but feel free to message me to talk about anything...

Turning 30 and I've decided to grab life by the short and curlys!!
