Hi Karl,
I am in Lancashire. Have you received any info as of yet?
We can ALL understand about the LOTS of diets and exercise issues as well. I know before my surgery-I really wasn't able to walk without aid.
Stick around and keep asking questions. The folks on the this board are all VERY helpful and knowledgable. Yes-the board can be quiet at times-but each time another person joins and starts a conversation-more folks jump in.
If you can-let us know more about what specifically you are looking for. Do you know what sort of surgery you are looking for? Have you learned yet what to expect from your consultation??
Let us know and we can be helpful as well!
Cheers and WELCOME!! :)

Hiya Pattie!
Thanks for joining us! I don't live too far from Liverpool. I live very near to Blackburn.
One of my favorite friendly places for the tum is Marks and Spencer's. It's not a diner-but a convenience shop. They have lovely fresh veg and fruit. They also have a selection of lunch meats and dinners to take home and make.
Most places here seem to be quite friendly and are happy to show you what they have on menu which might work best for you.
Glad you are here!!

Hi Miss Redd! Thanks for the response. I'll be in Liverpool looks like from 24-26 March. I'll look into Marks & Spencers although I don't think I'll have access to a kitchen or refrigerator, but having access to fruit will be wonderful. I may make do with cheese sticks and eggs and things. I'll just do the best I can LOL...
Hi Plennon. At the moment this board seems to be on life support, but I'm hoping for a recovery... Been to Florida 5 times over the last 10 years, mainly to visit the Mouse. I had a vsg 14 months ago, don't eat out very often, mainly Chinese, and have just started on Atkins so I'm afraid I'm not much use to you at the moment. Hope you enjoy Liverpool!
Hi Paul...I'll be in Liverpool next week. I'm hoping to have a bit of fish and chips while I'm there. You can't get the good stuff here LOL...congrats on your surgery. I know a lot of VGS patients and they all do very well. I'm in the maintenance portion now. I really don't want to lose any more weight and I never thought I'd say that!!
Hi Susan, glad you joined - even if we're on life-support at the moment! Kate and I have agreed to post something at least once a month to see if things pick up.
I've just tried the delights of home made almond milk as I can't buy it locally. Great as a drink with valilla and sweeteners, but no substitute for milk in tea or coffee.
Still on the Atkins diet (more or less). Lost half a pound in the last three weeks, but only 14 or 15 pounds to go to target.
I went in for the RNY but my anatomy wouldn't support it. Came off the operating table with a VSG, slower weight loss but none of the malabsorbtion problems. Kate is a bander, so all sorts welcome and catered for!
Glad to have you with us, good luck with the op
