Plastic / Reconstructive Surgery
Has any one had plastic/reconstructive surgery after losing weight? I'd love to have something done with all this extra skin. If you have, where did you have it done, what did you have done, would you recommend it, wish you had something different/more etc. Did you have to pay/NHS? Who was your surgeon? And any thing else you fancy sharing...
Would love to hear your experiences

Hey Ruth! Nice to see you here. I've not had any plastics done YET. I cannot afford it and I haven't fully finished soul-searching and deciding on it for sure.
I will keep posted to your thread-to see if others can chime in. I am curious to know as well. I also suffer with the extra skin issues as well.
Peace,
T

My loose skin is so distinct that I feel tempted just to take kitchen scissors to it and slice it off!!
If I were 30 years younger (OK so the problem probably wouldn't be as great anyway!), I would have (in order of importance to me):
tummy tuck., bottom lift, batwings removed, thighs reshaped.
But I won't! DH doesn't mind my folds and flaps and I don't care enough about other people to worry! Actually, change that - my arms are the part fo me that I hate most as they are shown most often and (to my eyes) ruin lovely summer dresses and tops.
I can't imagine the NHS paying!!!

Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
