Hi all!

Did you see we have some new members? Welcome all!

I would like to know what you all do with your time. Nosy aren't I? LOL!

Where do you work. At home? Somewhere else?

I used to work in the software industry for many years. Since I recently moved I don't know WHAT I am going to be when I grow up! I have the chance to go a completely different direction if I wish. Not that there are many jobs right now and I DO need to find one. But I think it's time to follow my passion a bit more closely.

I have lots of irons in the fire and I HOPE I get some offers in the near future.

So, share with us what you do!

Peace,
T

Hello!

I am very busy this week with work. I am a Primary School Teacher, and currently teach a reception class (4-5 year olds). i absolutely love it, and have a lovely little class, they keep me on my toes lol!
I'm looking forward to Friday though, as we have 2 weeks holiday for Easter, so am gonna chill out, maybe go to the cinema- there are 2 films I want to see at the moment 'Knowing' and 'The Haunting in Conecticut'. I went to see Marley and Me last week, it was so sad, I was crying my eyes out!

I hope you are successful in your job hunt, and find something you really enjoy. I was unemployed for a few months and hated it, but was really lucky to get this job,and am so happy even though it's hard work. People often think teachers have an easy life, but it is hard work, and doesn't stop when the bell rings at 3.30pm!

I am getting married in July (18th), so am very excited! We have done most of the planning, just have some things to finalise now. We have just finished paying for our honeymoon- we are going to the Riviera Maya in Mexico!

I have ordered my dress already, as they take 6 months to make, and ordered a slightly smaller size, but not a too small. The lady informs me that they can be taken in up to 5 dress sizes, so I'm sure it'll look fine, and she is an excellent seamstress! I'm hopin it'll need taking in a fair bit by then! It's so exciting to not have to have a UK size 30 dress. We have been engaged for a while, but I kept putting off setting a date as I didn't want to be a fat bride, and now I won't be!!

Anyway thats enough of my rambling!
Take care everyone!
Vicky

Hey Vicky!

Sounds like you surely keep busy! I imagine it can be very rewarding working with the little ones-if not exhausting too! LOL!

You are getting married?! Congrats! How very exciting. There must be loads of stuff for you to be keeping busy with. I hope you post pics of the wedding!! I just know you are going to be a gorgeous bride.

It's amazing all those things we used to dream about are now the things we are actually living. The honeymoon sounds like it will be an absolute dream!!

I look forward to hearing more about the wedding and your plans!

Peace,
T

Yes, live is very busy at the moment, but it's the best way to be really! The wedding plans can be stressful at times, but I try not to worry about it too much, what will be will be! I have a dress, my groom has a suit, we have the church and venue booked, bridesmaids dresses, food. cake and flowers are all sorted- I am suprised by how organised I am- I'm not usually!!

I will definately post some pics of the wedding! I'm just hoping I get as much weight of as possible before the wedding. I am on a stall at the moment, haven't lost anything for nearly 2 weeks . I'm hoping the scales will move soon!! I would like to get under 200lbs by the wedding, I'm currently 232lbs, I don't know if 32lbs in 16 weeks is achieveable, but am going to try my best!!  It's so frustrating when the weight loss stalls!!

I've decided to try mixing up my exercise, so I've been to a step aerobics class tonight! It was really tough, but I actually enjoyed it and will go again! I will also go swimming sometime in the week and at the weekend! I'm trying to walk everyday too, we have a dog, so she always needs walking!!

Anyway, I'm going to head off to bed, need to be bright and breezy in the morning- have to do PE with the little ones tomorrow- not always an easy task!!

Take care!
Vicky

I'm supposed to be retired. But my ex-school (actually the school isn't ex, that would be me!) keeps calling me in to do supply cover. Now supply is good - no planning, no marking, no reports and the kids still knwo me well enough for me not to have the discipline problems supply teahcers traditionally face.

So Monday - working
Tuesday - going on long walk with friends
Wed - decorating bedroom
Thurs - fracture clinic (still got crack in my foot after being knocked down by motorbike in hanoi last Nomvember)
Friday - going to see grandson in Wales

Good luck with jobs. How nice to make new start - I did that in my mid 30s and had total career change.

Kate

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Kate! I cannot get over what a busy and exciting life you are having! It sounds absolutely wonderful.

It looks like three of our little group will all be in Wales this weekend! LOL! What are the odds? Vicky lives there and my husband is doing a performance or two there-so off we go! He is a music teacher and also have a duo where he plays Uilleann pipes and many other instruments-and his partner plays harp! I can't wait to finally see them in action!

We are going to stay at a bed and breakfast place-and I am sure to get load of pictures to share. I am even going to get some video to upload on my You Tube of the boys in action.

Great to know you are thriving like never before. Gives me hope that I can MAYBE get half the energy you have!

Peace,
T

I love wedding pics! I will be looking forward to those :) My sister in the US is getting married but they have postponed it til a year from now because of money. My sister really wants the big wedding but they lived in Las Vegas and had to move to Texas. Las Vegas wa**** hard with the economic slow-down. She sells vacation packages, so she isnt in the best position when everyone has less money.

I dont actually do much! I go to work, I play with our beastly dog, I clean the house, cook, we take nice walks. I love the area around here. We have the woods close-by  and it has 5 different tracks you can take and in the other direction we have a big beautiful lake to walk around and its by a church thats 1000 years old with viking runestones hanging about.

I have always wanted to get into photography as a hobby and I am in the perfect place here for it. I look forward to dropping the weight so that I can have more mobility and energy so I can take it up.

There are many things I have wanted to do but I have allowed my weight to hold me back. There are concerts I wanted to go to, market events etc but not only is it uncomfortable to drag my weight around, I always feel so self conscious. It takes too much fun out of things for me. I do envy those who struggle with their weight, as I do, but dont allow it to hold them back in life and from doing the things they want.
