I posted on the main message board but I am curious if maybe you could answer a few things for me, Mona? My insurance company requires that I have minimum of 6 months of documentation, etc. from dietician/nutritionist. My file with surgeon has been filed away since October, I believe.....I went and saw a doctor in The Women's Center about 2 weeks ago and she actually recommended the lap band to me. She wondered if there was any way such as an additional letter of recommendation would help me get approved or not? Other than the dietician requirements, I meet all other requirements...I am wondering, too, am I going to have to go back for another consultation with the surgeon to get things rolling again? Does the surgeon need to send insurance another letter in addition to any other letters of recommendation I could get? Would my file be pulled out of hibernation??? It's just frustrating to think I have to go through all of this again. I just want so desperately to get it done! I wish I could afford to just pay for it myself, or I'd do it that way but I just can't at this time in my life.....Any suggestions????
