I am Lesley, I am a 27 year old AF wife. We are stationed at Scott AF base, IL. I had my surgery 22 months ago and still struggle sometimes eating right, but it was the best decision that I ever made.
I wish there was more wives in this area since I am having a hard time making friends.

i went for my upper gi and the woman that was workin behind the desk got the rny surgery and she got her tummy tuck threw tri-care..apparently (from what people have told me), tricare covers one elective surgery..u can always call tricare and ask

No 6 month supervised diet here. RACH has a bariatric program and it does not require the 6 month thing. It did take about 5 months from start to finish for me and I had several appointments to complete before I got my date. It was worth it and if I had to do a 6 month diet I would of gladly done it to get to the end result.

I had my RNY @ RACH @ Ft Sill, have had no complications and I am loving it!
Thankfully we are less than 16 months from retirement (whoot!!) and will remain in the area.
