how long from frist doc appoint till surgery?

dose anyone know what tricares requriments are to have the surgery? like do i have to wait 6 months and do a special diet.

Tricare has no 6 month diet requirement.  You are suppose to be 100 lbs over weight.  That said I was only about 80 lbs over weight, but with 7 co-morbidity's.  If I had gotten wls when I was first approved, I would have had it with 3 months of my first appt with my PCM.

 Depends really on if you are going to a MTF or through a civilian Dr.  In general the MTF's are able to speed the process along a little bit faster than if you are dealing with a civilian Dr. and Tricare.
