What is 200% of my Ideal Body Weight?
I was wondering if anyone knows how to figure out what 200% of my Ideal Boday Weight is? I am 5'5 and my weight is 215. I know I don't weigh enough even if I had two comorbidities (I'm not sure if I have any or not.) I know I have high colesterol and join pain in my knees and hip, but I'm just not sure if I have any of the "major" comorbidities. I know that if I don't I have to weigh 200% of my body weight, but I'm not sure how to figure out what that number would be. Can anyone out there help me?
Thanks in Advance,
JoAnna :)

I am 5'2", I weighed 208 at my highest and had many co-morids. I was less than 100lbs over weight and was approved in less than a week. Ask, it couldn't hurt to try. Normally tri-care doesn't care about co-morbids, just that you are 100lbs over weight. I wasn't, so try try try try!

That seems to be worded awkwardly...however I interprate that to mean you have to be 2x your ideal body weight . So if your ideal body weight is 130 for your height you need to weight 260 or more. I don't have any comorbidities but I am approved through tri-care with my appt. with my surgeon Nov. 22, 2010 due to being more then 2x my ideal body weight. At 5'5 your ideal body weight would be 117-130 for a small frame, 127-141 for a medium frame and 137-155 for a large frame. Most people have a medium frame so if that is the case you would need to be between 254-282 to be 2x your ideal body weight. I hope that helps.
