My surgeon diet is strict compared to what I am reading.  I just started today and it is mostly all liquids:  3 to 4 protein shakes a day (Isopure); water, coffee, tea, or any zero calorie drink; sugar free jello, sugar free ice pops, broth, and only 2 cups of vegatables a day with lemon, lime or a spritz of zero calorie dressing.

I have only tried 2 kinds of greek yogurt. I tried the Dannon Greek and Fage. The Dannon I tried was strawberry, blueberry, and honey. I liked the honey a lot; so yummy! The other 2 are much better with a little added Splenda in my opinion. The only downside to the Dannon is that the flavored ones were a lot higher in carbs and calories compared to the unflavored Fage.
The Fage is really good with some Splenda added to it. I have read where some people add sf preserves or jelly to it. I might try that sometime, but for now I stick with Splenda.
Both brands are nice and thick, very yummy.

As for the Blog, I really know very little about it myself! I did try it once on a different site a long time ago and for some reason it seemed easier then! So I am no help when it comes to that area.

Topic: RE: Free Samples of Celebrate Bariatric Vitamins
I got mine a few days ago, you really get a lot of samples! Somehow I got lucky and they sent me 2 packets! The multivitamins I have tried so far taste great, disolve easily as you chew, and don't stick to my teeth at all. I am saving the rest for after surgery. I have already ordered vitamins from another website mainly because my Dr. suggested getting Arnica to use before and after surgery and the celebrate site didn't sell those. Once I use up what I have, I may start using the celebrate brand.

It's really easy to get your free sample. You simply give them your name and address and tell them which surgery you are going to have and they send you what is best for that particular surgery.

I'm guessing my surgeon is pretty lenient with the pro-op diet compared to most of yours! I've been on a high protein/low carb diet (less than 30g carbs per day). That's it!

My final visit with the surgeon is tomorrow afternoon, and I'm sure he'll give me some more instructions. I'm pretty sure he only requires a liquid diet for a 48 hours before surgery. I'll find out for sure though tomorrow, and I'll report back then. Oh, and I'll get weighed again tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed for me!

I don't have a separate blog outside of OH, but I've been blogging daily on my OH blog. That's probably where I'll be updating the most.

Sounds like you are certainly on the right track, Tracy!  What kind of Greek yogurt have you been using?  Do you have a preference?

And, love that you have a blog - it's great!  Can you follow a WordPress blog the same way you'd follow a blogger blog?  I am still very new to the world of blogging!

Thanks!

Hey there..I stared my two week preop diet on Wednesday..It is getting better..but it does kinda suck..but I know what I have to do to get healthy..

3 or 4 protein shakes a day, with SG jello or pudding in between.  I have also been chomping on some veggies and I sometimes use a tittle dap of low fat dressing to dip them in..

Water, water, and MORE water with lots of crystal light flavors!  Unsweet, uncaf, tea..ohh and a palm full of peanuts a day..

Thats is pretty much it..the caff headaches are gone..so that is good, but sometimes I feel like my stomach is coming out..LOL

I am hanging in there though..by the way, glad to have support from fellow sleevers!!  Hope to chat with you all soon

Well, I was given a One week diet by mistake, I should have received a more strict 2 week diet because of my high BMI. I did the one week diet for 3 days. It consisted of:

Any and all liquids (low calorie and low fat)
Cream soups
Yogurt
Mashed fruits, vegetables, and cereal
Water

While on this diet I felt like it was just too high in calories and carbs and I knew I should be on a more strict diet, so for the following 10 days I am having:

3 Medifast shakes (Comparable to OptiFast)
2 cups 0 fat Greek yogurt
unlimited amounts of broth
Tons of water
and about every 3rd day I have a bowl of cream soup

For the last 3 days I will be on a very strict clear liquid diet.

I will be starting mt clear liquid diet this Friday!

I have to admit it has been real difficult and I feel so hungry, but ut has gotten easier today. This Wednesday I am having a tooth removed, which I think will make my diet even more easy to do.
