I've been a little tired the last few days, but I think it's because I haven't been sleeping well. I keep waking up and having really weird dreams about the surgery. This is my first surgery of any kind, and I think my nerves are coming out through my dreams. I'm not scared per se, just anxious about the unknown. I always worry/work thinks out in my dreams. Ugh!

I live in Jacksonville, FL and I'm having my surgery just a few miles from my house. I'm really lucky in that one of the local hospitals here has been classified as a Center of Excellence. I'm also EXTREMELY lucky in that my insurance covers the sleeve, and my hospital copay is waived because I'm going to a Center of Excellence. Yay!

Question: Where do you live (city, state or just state) and are you having your surgery done close to where you live?
If so, where at? (For example: city, state or just state).

I live in a little Texas town called Hondo. I would have loved to have my surgery done close to home but I just can't afford it since I am a self-pay. I will be going to Tijuana, Mexico for my surgery.

Topic: Question of the Week
Hey everyone,
I thought it would be nice to have a "question of the week" to keep us involved with each other. If I ask something that you're not comfortable answering, you certainly do not have to answer. I just thought it would be a good way for us to get to know each other better! I will post a new question every Monday, but will do a short and simple one now for this week.

I don't start my preop diet until 2/28 - but, I fully expect to be pooped.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's just the diet plan making you tired, lalahamilton! We DO NOT want you to be coming down with something!

I have felt like my energy is drained by afternoon. I think it's normal because we are used to eating differently; it's a big change from what we're used to. I hope you're not getting sick! That would not be good with your sugery coming up.
