Topic: Home at last
Well here I am at last. Glad to be in my own home. Hospital was ok and the surgery was painful to be truthful, I can't lie I really do not want to do this again. but it is over and I can start my life again.
I think that I really underestimated the gas pains ouch!!! and yesterday I thought that I really was not going to make it..Today I woke up and felt 1000% better
Mad things you do under anaethetic. 1. Hug your anethetist. Thanking him that he kept you alive...Yes girls and boys I did do that or so I have been told..I just about remember this. Apparantly they got me to move from the operating table to the trolley. I then sat up and gave him a great big hug. I do not usually do this to strange men (We brits don't usually go in for shows of affection) I think he was a bit pleased though that he had been appreciated like this.
Anyway well on the mend now and hopefully on the losers bench very soon

I think that I have this eating thing a bit easy as I am on day 3 post op and had my first puree today for tea.
It went well. cottage pie...
I think it did me good really as I was not really tolerate water very well(a bit painful) but the comsome that I had for lunch was lovely and went down a treat. Again it depends on your hospital and your surgeon. but well done on 2 weeks

Glad to hear that things have improved with drinking...I am struggling with that right now so knowing it'll get better, helps!
And, you are right...27 lbs in under a month is pretty darn amazing!! And, this is only the beginning! Congrats to you sweetie and so happy to see you back on here!

Topic: RE: Will March 22 ever get here?
Time is dragging, that is FOR SURE, LOL! I'm glad I have a job, because I would be going CRAZY at home. I'm not really nervous. I just want to get on with it. The only thing freaking me out is some random thing derailing me so close to the end. I try not to think about it though. That really will freak me out.
Good luck everyone, I will keep my eye out for your updates!
xo!

Let's both of us hang in there! I read your stall post and found it very informative. I'm not sleeved yet, but I know I will cling to that when I hit my first stall. Thank you!

I lost 13.4 lbs the first week after surgery. I just swung by my doctor's office to get (unofficially) weighed today, and for week two: ZERO lbs lost! I left the doc office and sat and cried in my car. But stalls happen to everyone...believe me, I've been reading every post on OH regarding stalls to make myself feel better. Just make sure you're getting in all your liquids and protein, and stay the course. The weight will start coming off again soon. I found a post that explained all the technical stuff going on in the body during a stall...I'm going to see if I can find it again and I'll post it for everyone to reference.Let's both of us hang in there!
