I'm with everyone else...protein & water are the hardest part, unless I sip sip sip all day.  I also am used to drinking with a straw, but forgot, and found I do suck too much air, so that straw bit the dust!  I LOVE my coffee-house protein shake, but can't have it for a few more days...it has decaf coffee, vanilla & caramel latte protein powder, s/f vanilla caramel creamer & ff 1/2 & 1/2 served over crushed ice...yum!  That's one I drink because I like it, not because I tolerate it!

My other huge problem is allergies & sneezing...holy c**p!   Hurts like he!!...

1. No regular pre-op exercise...too hard on the joints.  I did try a fitness swim class while waiting, but our winter is too doggone cold to get in a bathing suit, get in nice warm water, then try to put some half damp sweats on over your suit to drive home and run in the house to warm up after a full work-day.

2. Currently scheduled exercise? No.  Shoping, walking...yes.

3. I do plan on adding exercise to my life when my joints feel able to handle it; probaby walking, recumbant biking and that fitness swimming class.

I did not exercise before surgery and am not exercising as of yet.
To be honest, I don't plan on exercising until my weight loss begins to  slow down dramatically.

Water and protein seem to be the common problem here! It was the same for me, maybe still is! Yesterday wsa the first day I got in a decent amount of protein and the day before that I managed to get in 7 cups of water. Now I just need to do both on the same day!
It really is a difficult task! I have taken a few measures to try and get in my water and protein from now on, but it's still going to be a struggle. I know I will have to be very disciplined.

1- I have decided I must track my intake of all foods and liquids daily. This helps me see what I still need to get in. I also think I will try to plan my meals and drinks 1 or 2 days in advance, that way I will already know what I need to eat and drink to get in what I need.

2- Yesterday I started drinking a protein drink for my breakfast. That's really the only way I will get in the amount of protein I need everyday

3- I need to stop sleeping in when I have a day off from work. It is so much harder to get in my water and protein when I wake up late in the morning, even though it feels so good!

I agree! I was sleeved on the 1st and the month has just flown by! It's hard to believe it has gone by so quickly! We are all finally on the losers bench and can help keep each other motivated to continue doing well and staying on track!
Congrats everyone!

Topic: RE: How much have we lost in March
I was sleeved on March 1st and have lost a total of 25 pounds since surgery. I went to a Dr appt today and my blood pressure was great, even though I haven't taken my meds since surgery so my Dr told me to discontinue unless it starts to go high again. He's really happy with my weight loss and said I look 5 years younger than the last time he saw me.
I think we're all doing really well and should feel very proud of our progress! Keep it up everyone!

I lost 13.4 lbs the first week, and nothing the 2nd week. I decided to wait until I saw my doctor again to weigh, to avoid the daily/weekly obsession with the scale. My appointment is tomorrow morning, so expect a lbs lost update from me in the afternoon!
