Sorry your both experiencing this but I would think it would warrant a call to your surgeon. I definitely would not wait. Hope you find out soon and resolve this. Good luck!

I have no idea what causes this but it happens to me all the time. It is a scary feeling. I wish I would have remembered to mention this to my Dr when I went in last week but I forgot about it. I may have to make another appt if it continues, I don't want to wait another month to discuss it with him because it is starting to concern me.

It seems after I eat most meals my heart races for about 30 minutes and it is very uncomfortable.  I did figure out that when I eat or drink anything with sugar in it is far worse and scary so now I eat only sugar free.  But, why is my heart racing when I eat the regular foods? Anyone else having this experience?

Topic: RE: Question of the Week 4/4/11

Pizza was my life prior to surgery.  There were days when I could eat an entire large pizza from Pizza Hut and/or Papa John's.  Every hour on the hour it seems that Pizza Hut is pimping that new stuffed crust pizza.  As much as I'd love to try it, I will probably stay away from pizza for the first year.  I know that I would never be able to eat a whole pizza again, but I do know for sure that I don't want to start down that road.
Since I've started on solids, everything that I've fixed and that I hoped would be wonderful, are just kinda so-so.  I've lost the taste for most things.  Like Cathi's post before, there's really no joy right now in eating.

Cathi, I said the same thing you just said last week at a support group meeting.  There's really no joy to eating right now.  I'm sure it will return the further out I get from the surgery though.  I too was a recreational eater, but I can't do that anymore either.
I guess this is how skinny people do it.  They eat to live, not live to eat....lol.

Yeah, don't put it in the pre-made pudding. Protein powder needs to be disolved in liquid, so you'd get clumps if you just put it straight in the pudding.

Yeah, pre made pudding. I bought too much of it while I was in the thin, mushy stage and I am trying to use it. I eat it a lot less than I thought I would because it is hard to fit it in my daily nutritional requirements. Adding the protein to it kinda makes it worth eating but that was very unappealing!
