Topic: RE: 1st week with no loss
Last week which was week 3 I didn't loose until the end of the week.  Thank goodness I knew that it would happen.  Thank you guys for that heads up.    It was demoralizing but got through it.  I am weighing myself alternate days.
Got the NUT and follow up with the surgeon next week...If the NUT just throws bits of paper at me as she has so far I will ask Surgeon to send me to another NUT.. As I m self pay I think that I should get the service from her that I am paying for.  I have been recording what I am eating in a diary so she will be looking at this and telling me if I am doing the right things and not treat me as though my obesity is catching!!
Anyway you are doing so well with your weight loss so you really must be doing a good job.  Don't worry those scales will start moving very soon.

I used to love watching all the food programmes...and ate when I was watching them...Now cant really be bothered by them....
As for Pizza hut...Probably not as nice as it looks on the tele.

I stalled during the 2nd week! It was definitely demoralizing. I knew it would happen...just not that soon. Now I only weigh at the doctor's office. It keeps me sane.

Topic: 1st week with no loss
Well it finally happened. A week with no loss. For many this happens around week 3 but I managed to avoid it until week 5. I was beginning to think it wasn't gonna get me! I am not surprised or upset about it though. I actually got a "visit" from AF last week, which could have triggered my lack of weight loss.
I just hope this is just for 1 week. I feel so bad for those that say they they stall for several weeks. That would really SUCK!

How's everyone else doing so far? Any stalls yet? If so, what post op week did it happen for you?

Hi Miranda,

Welcome to our little group.
Sounds like you're doing great so far!  I can remember how happy I was to move on to mushies! Are you getting in all your water and protein? That was my biggest struggle up until mt 5th week, and I am only on week 6 now! If you are struggling now, just know it will get easier.

Topic: Food Network
It is so weird...I have been watching non-stop Food Network and Cooking Channel shows for the past few weeks. I find it enjoyable...like watching the food being made and enjoyed is allowing me to live vicariously through the host/chef. It's also nice tha****ching the food being cooked doesn't make me hungry!

However, commercials are killing me! Pizza Hut had to wait until AFTER I have surgery to come out with the most tempting slice of pie I've ever seen: Ultimate Stuffed Crust!! OMG! It makes me want to lick my tv! LOL

Topic: RE: Any one having rapid heart rate after eating???
I wonder if it's stomach acid kicking up and causing a type of heartburn? Or possibly a reaction to carbs...some VSG'ers do experience a level of "dumping syndrome". Rapid heart beat is a symptom of that. I'd definitely put a call in to the surgeon. And let us know what he says!
