March 2011 Sleevers
nuts
got to see the nut tomorrow. I really do not like her.
She never seems to have the time for you and stands so far away from you that you would think that she feels that obesity is catching...
Then she just gives you pieces of paper to read and lets you get on with it. I want her to look at my food diary to see if I am on the right track. If there is no joy I will ask my surgeon to transfer me to an alternative. I am not going to pay for that level of service from the skinny assed trollop!

If she acts like that again I would find a new one for sure. She is supposed to help you and it doesn't sound like she is helping at all, she's just passing her time and wasting your time.

I have to see the nut in my surgeon's group...no switching allowed. She's very nice, but completely worthless. My surgeon's office does mostly bands, and everytime she comes in the room, she starts talking about my band. Ummm...did you even look at my file before you came in the door? I have to remind her (yet again) that I had the sleeve, not the band. Then she looks confused, hands me some papers and asks if I have any questions. Everything I've learned about my diet post-op, I've learned on my own by searching online. Oh well...at least I don't have to pay extra to see her.
She cancelled me!!! and asked me if I needed to see her. I said that I really needed to discuss things with her so she is getting an appointment sent to me for 2-3 weeks time.
Spoke to the surgeon Jamie to day for my first check up and told him how I was feeling. he did not sound shocked and said that I was not the first to tell him this. Thank goodness it is not just me.
Anyway Jamie looked at my diet diary and firstly said.. Breakfast is good A baby rusk or a weetabix and milk the occasional scrambled egg. He also recommended porridge.
He asked me if I cooked my own dinner or if it was a ready meal. I told him that I cook each evening. He was very pleased with my evening meal. My slow cooked casseroles are great with fresh vegetables and potatoes
I have got lunch so wrong Cup a soup. That is all sugar..he tells me. Got to stop that NOW. I thought I was doing so well. He is going to contact my GP about prescribing vitamins for me. He wants me to have a bit more protein and to drink more. I can now progress to solids woo hoo. Just forgot to ask him about the PPI tablet and wether I still need to take it. That is a phone conversation for tomorrow. He will see me again in 3 months and wants to know how I am getting on with the NUT

I've been to a few NUTS and have yet to see one that had anything productive to say. It's the handout and any questions, most of the appointment typing in their reports thatshould be done ontheir own time and yes .....always having to remind them of which surgery you have had. I'm thinking about becoming one.........hear the pay is pretty good for what you do. j/k
