I went to the doctor today and I've lost another 10 lbs! So that means I lost 23.4 lbs since surgery. I lost 14.1 lbs in the 2 weeks prior to surgery, so my grand total is 37.5 lbs lost!!

And I had to drive my parents' car today in order to take my mom to her doctor appointment (my car is too low for her to get in and out of with her newly operated-on hip)...now, I have never been able to buckle the seat belt in their car. When I got in today, I buckled it! I was so excited!! It's little things like that that make this experience so exciting.

That's great Cathi! I knew the weight was going to start coming off again. I think before your body was just in shock and refused to let anything go, but now the weight is coming off again! Whoo Hoo!

That's great Cathi!! I had a nsv jsut like that but kind of blew it off. You made me just think of it. I have been using an extender in my car. On thursday when I went to the suregeons in Mt Kisco...my cousin who is also obese went along for the ride. When I picked him up he got in and tried to put the seatbelt on but it would not fit so I took my extender off and put it on his side. I was going to go unbelted. I decided to try it anyway because there seemed to be cops everywhere and I did not want a ticket. I pulled the seatbelt totally out as I useually do and I snapped it right into the other end. I was glad that I could do that so I could wear a seatbelt and just started driving. When I read your post it dawned on me...wow....that's right ....the seatbelt now fits!!! Yay for both of us with the seatbelts and all of us for our weight loss so far!!!
