Where do you read about that? I cannot find anybody who had regrets after the slleve. Really interested in seeing the "other side"
Topic: RE: tell me about your pre-op diet....
First, I had to follow a low fat, low carb diet plan to get off 20 pounds to get my surgery scheduled. On Memorial Day, I start my 2 week protein shake diet.
I definitely need to find things to do to keep my mind busy so that I don't turn to food during that time.

Sounds like a great plan. I go for preop this Thursday and guess I'll start liquid diet next Tuesday. That means I'll be on liquids the last two weeks of our school year, pretty stressful timeBut, I've been drinking protein shakes most days for breakfast and lunch during the school week since March so I think I'll be okay while there. It is just once I get home and on the weekend that will be hard. Has it gotten easier today since I've seen many post that the first three days are the hardest? I hope it does get better, meanwhile, stay busy busy!

I start my 2week full liquid diet on Thursday...whew! that is going to be rough. I plan on keeping busy with cleaning my house and organizing all of the things I need for the weeks immediately following surgery (Im not working outside the home now).
What do you have to do pre-op and how are you planning on helping yourself thru it?

Ever since I got my surgery date (last Tuesday), I've been struggling with my diet plan. I'm scared too.
I've got one more week of dieting and then I start a 2 week liquid shake diet on Memorial Day. Ugh.

I am so scared too! Hopefully its normal to feel this way. I read about people *****gret having the surgery and I'm trying to figure out if it's the minority. My biggest fear is regret because there is nothing you can do. I also fear pain, not being able to drink enough water or get enough protien.
