Welcome to the Pasco Hernado (Florida) Obesity Help Weight Loss Surgery Support Group. No matter where you live, you may join this group. If you are considering weight loss surgery (WLS) or already had WLS, we are here to SUPPORT you. All are welcomed, pre-op, post-op, RNY Gastric Bypass, LapBand, etc. Family members and friends, too. We want this to be a non-biased, non-judgmental and non-censored support group for all people. This group is led by a Gastric Bypass patient who has received support group leader certification by ObesityHelp.com. The group meets various week nights in various locations. We provide support, advice and share our struggles and successes. Topics shared relate to the surgery itself, getting past the first few months post-op, managing our pouches, protein shakes, food and diet, developing new eating habits, recipes, nutrition, supplements and vitamins, dealing with cravings, emotional issues, fear of weight gain, keeping the weight off, caring for ourselves, exercise, insurance issues, group activities, and much more.
