I hope you make it through your grueling work time. I wonder how the fruit is in in Nassau?

What a dreadful job. Fancy being forced to work in places like Nassau, and going to Sandals - must be so hard. And the horror of being unable to eat anything apart from fresh lobster and crab!

I have no sympathy whatsoever with your food and drink problems! I am now looking out of my window at gusting winds, squally showers, sodden fallen leaves. Then I will go and cook my fish fillet from the freezer. That sympathy just is not there!!!!

But, seriously, I imagine it is not all fun - lots of hard work! But I still really do hope you have a good time! We will try to keep the board going until you get back!

Have a great time.  I am only a little jealous!  It is getting kind of cold up here.

We flew down to DC last weekend to go to a friend's son Bar Mitzvah.  Lots of meals and nonstop good food.  But honestly I didnt eat a whole lot.  And my weight was the same when I got back. I love my RnY..  And I got a lot of comments about my weight loss from people who I havent seen in a long while.   Just be very very picky about what goes into your mouth.  Lobster and crab sound perfect!!
We have a busy weekend planned.  I am going to a progressive dinner on Saturday night so will be having people over here for the dinner course.  And I need to bake for the bake sale at my daughter's school on Friday.  Lots of cooking and baking time.  Should be fun though....

I don't know.  Maybe you should hang at 150 for a bit and something might change (you decide to be more active, or feel more or less stressed or your routine changes or what ever) and you will eventually get to the 145.  That's kind of what happened to me.

I have a busy time betw/ now and monday... I'm leaving early sat for nassau/turks and caicos... I'm a travel agent and am going on a trip with Sandals resort.... so it will be a busy time and I'll be offline sat - tuesday.

It will be a challenge as the food and drinks will be free flowing... all u can eat and drink!!!
I guess I'll just have to eat lobster and crab all weekend...

Hope everyone can keep posting their ideas.....

I wanted to get to 145..but I can't get below 150... so I guess I'm going to work at keeping that and make sure I stay there.... I did gain a couple of pounds and now working to get back there....so it's a little seasaw of 2-3 pnds....

I personally can't stand 12 step programs but I know that for some folks they are extremely helpful.

The thing about food is that that you will always need food to live.  With alcohol and drugs, some people must abstain because their bodies can't handle it at all and it totally effect the rest of their lives.

I prefer a more behavioral approach.  Have you looked into Judith Beck's program?  You should check out her book:   www.amazon.com/Beck-Diet-Solution-Train-Person/dp/0848731735

She is pretty amazing...
