I so wish I could wear leggings!!  But even when in my 20s, leggings only ever looked casual on me, never smart - my legs just aren't long enough and are rather triangular! And these days, even the fashion for very long tops with leggings doesn't work for me as I have got a pad of fat/skin on the inside of my knees which makes matter look even worse!

I am not going to have PS - at age almost 60, I can't be bothered! But if I did, a tummy tuck would be first, buttock lift second (make my legs a good three inches longer!!), then my batwings and then my knee pads!

But I agree that there is enormous pleasure in picking out clothes, feeling confident they will fit!

I am finding I have way lots of unstructured time on my hands these days and one of my little pleasures is going into clothing stores just to try on clothes and see how they fit.  I havent actually bought much of anything but I do enjoy the looking, trying on and walking out.  Last week I tried on these jeggings, really cute, and today I tried on this pretty skirt and top at one of my favorite boutiques.  I am always amazed and delighted that the clothes fit and look really cute on.  Oh, over the weekend I actually bought a pair a pajamas from Costco made out of leopard looking fleece fabric, size small, and I didnt even try them on and they are so comfortable and I will be wearing them all winter.

Good attitude! We worked hard to get where we are. Now we deserve those low numbers!

I tend to be of the opinion that all my obese life I had to accept the highest weight on whatever scale I was weighed on....NOW, well I claim the losest weight. I feel I deserve that much for all the years of self loathing. Mindyou I only see my surgeon once a year so the rest of the time I am on the same scale

Here is my advise.  Just bite the bullet.  Start a new chart.  I do this complex math in my head all the time.  My home scale says 130 (this was a very good morning!)  but I only believe the doctor's scales.  So I really think and will admit to weighing 137 or so.  I know that my home scale is about 7 pounds lighter than my the doctor's scale.

It's one of those crazy neurotic things I do when it comes to me and my weight.

I'm not goign to ignore anyoen tryign to help!!

But, as you say,  on these new super-efficient, all modern, digital scales - there doesn't appear to be anything basic like an adjustment!! I may go for good old-fashioned non-electronic ones!!

There may , of coures, be a complicated system of adjustment - but if thre is, it is ME who is technologically impaired cos i can't find it!

So annoying! Also daft as I don't really care what the numbers are!!!

Ok....I haven't owned a scale in ions as I work in a medical clinic and I have always used that scale. Isn't there an adjustment feature on it? Or am I just technologically impaired. LOL. I am guessing the new electronic scales don't have such a feature right? OK ignore this post..... the I reread the more I am realizing I am not helping my cause in this issue

My lovely (expensive!) scale just broke. I loved it because it was always exactly the same as the scale in my doc's surgery. Anyway, even if it hadn't been, it was consistent and so showed me the true picture of whether I was losing or gaining which, to me, is more important than the actual figure.

So I bought a new one - it has me almost 4 lbs heavier!!!! So now I have to decide whether to bite the bullet and alter my chart and my OH signature or whether to lie and just keep on believing I weigh what the old scales told me! Or take the scale back and try another one!
