Hi:
I am Michelle from MA married with 2 kids 1g(22) 1B(16) had rny 20months ago started at 272 and now down at 115-117 at 5'4 little to light but on the other hand very worried that if i start to put back a little weight because everyone including surg think  i am too thin, that i wont be able to stop it all from coming back.

But i am loving being in a size 2-4 in jeans and being able to shop anywhere that i want to

Topic: RE: How do you maintain
This group was just what I was looking for....ok I am a few months shy of 18 but well past my goal weight and not sure how to do the maintenance thing.....I am still losing and I think it isn't a good thing. Albeit, it has really slowed down so I think my body is adjusting but I am apprehensive about the whole maintenance phase. Glad to be surrounded by others going through the same thing.
By the way, I wanted to know what is the meaning of the accronym RH mentionned in a post above....for the life of me I can't seem to figure it out today.

You know the whole question I was thinking...Does the regain happen because there is less protein malabsorption?
How do we know that?

I worked. Night shift with and extra hour plus excessive amounts of halloween leftover candy around. I glad that run is over. It's sunny in Seattle today and I just got back from dragging the dog for a long walk.
I'm going to make Eggface bites for dinner with roast beef, onions, and mushrooms. I need to cook more.

You may know based on your blood protein level.  But - that is not a real good indicater sinc ethe body will start pulling the proteins out of your muscles as needed.
So my guess will be the mussce mass + blood test for proetins, and then the kidney function.

I know that i am now on 120-150 gr of proteins a day and my blood proeton level is low normal. But then - I am on a low carb diet - due to RH so my body uses the proteins for fuel. (not good for the kidneys)

It was just ok.... I went to a dinner party that didn't have too many choices.... but navigated it fairly well.

I did have a few too many glasses of wine... so now I have to be good for a few days..

So how was your weekend? Any fun things?

Wey- hey! Good to see you. Jodi! I'm hoping it will be like the main board without the wars and without the repetition. I am NOT knocking newbies for asking Qs!! But we have different needs and interests when we are in our 2nd year post-op and later. I really do like the mixed surgery boards!

Kate

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Hi all
I am Jodi I was banded in Jan of 2009 I started at 240 I am currently down to 165 I was at 162 but had to have 1 1/2cc removed due to irritation (got a nut stuck) My band tighten pretty tight and was very uncomfortable I thought it would be safe to have a big unfil for a while I am having some put back slowly .25cc at a time. hopefully I can get back on track.

I am married, been with my husband 25 years have two grown kids 18, 20. I am healthier than I have been in 27 years, thanks to my band and hard work..

Lapband - Jan 2009 weight goal reached with lapband. Revised to VSG- 1/25/16
