I think the only thing safe at Cheesecake factory is the parking lot!  If I walk in those doors I'm in big trouble!  Thank goodness we don't have one around here.

Personally don't like the Cheesecake factory..... too large a portions and there is better food on the planet....

the Cheesecake is never a tempt as I wasn't a sweet eater to begin with...and would eat cheesecake maybe once a year

and BTW tonite I have a dinner party and am bringing a cheesecake...but I still won't eat it.... !! I'm just not into it.... now if they had cheez doodles at the party I'd be in trouble...!

Not quite sure what cheese doodles are - but if they are some sort of ready made cheesy snack - then they wouldn't tempt me!  Mow a nice plate of fresh cheeses and crackers!! After my cheesecake, of course.

Although I have to say that my tastes have changed. When I was at the Ch. Fact., I didn't finish my slice - not because I was too full, it slid down nicely! Just too sweet! Pre-wls I would have wanted a second slice!

Hi, My name is Annie and I am a bandster... I do like my band, but I am having a few issues. I was banded 6/9/09 at 265 and have not had an adjustment since 10/12/09 at 219. I lost my health insurance after that, and as posted on another board my surgeon charges a ridiculous amount that I just could not afford after losing my job. Well I have a new job and am getting an adjustment early next month, and we will see if bandy and I can work together again. Right now I just feel wide open most of the time. I did get down to 199 on Valentines day, but now am floating from 210 - 215 again, even as high as 218 a couple of weeks ago. This I know is due to visiting family and not having the best options for food available. If SIL is home, she is the only one allowed to cook in her kitchen, so I was stuck, I will never been in that position again. 6 weeks of HELL is what that was, as even though she knows what I should not eat, she does make dinner with pasta nightly, and it is always a casserole so hard to not eat the pasta.
SO, we will be back home tomorrow, and I will be back to my bariatric friendly kitchen, and pray that any of these extra lbs can go away again. I miss my measuring cups, my scale, and all the protein friendly recipes/bariatric that I left at home.
The one good thing is that I am still in a 14/16 that has not changed, although I was down to a 12 for a while. I want my 12's back by spring as they were mostly white jeans.
Thank you for starting this group.

Hi Annie,

Glad your here... I guess we just have to learn not to let others control what we eat. I'm lucky that I buy all the food  and do the preparation.... but while I'm at other's homes/travelling etc I make sure that I have food available that I want to eat. I also go to a monthly "wine Dinner" which is at someone's home. The host makes the main dish and other's bring the appetizers, desert etc. I call the hostess if the main dish is something I don't want to eat and see if there is a way to get some straight "protein"..... most are accomodating. This month its Paella... I'll be picking out the protein from the rice...

Hoefully the adjustment will work for you.  I gained a lot of weight back when my band was unfilled.

I had my Rny 12/08 (I'm coming up on two years). I started at 378 and currently weigh 201. I had surgery to qualify to be placed on the kidney transplant list. You can't be SMO and be on the list.  I've been on the list for about a year so my main goal is met. I fear regain because I want to stay on the list.
I'm domestically partnered (27 years) and have a 9 year old boy. We have a cat and a little dog named Lucy.
I'm a nurse and I work at night.
