How do you maintain

By weighing every morning. I set my "comfort zone" of 145-148 and then if I went out of that I immediately went back to true healthy band eating. As always at the start of any diet, I always lost about 5lbs in a week -a dn so back to my zone.

This worked for 2 1/2 years - not worrying for about 4 or 5 weeks, dieting the 6th (roughly). Then lots of family events and long holidays happened and I stopped doing that  6th week! Result - 27lbs gain (not helped by a leak!).

I am now fighting to get it off again. When i get back to my zone, I will take care NOT to let this happen again! About 11 lbs to go! Lesson (I hope) learned!

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

So glad to be here! I lost about 87lbs but went several months w/ out my band Summer of '09 due to a leak and having to have a hysterectomy prior to repairing my leak. I gained about 15 pounds during that time and have really struggled to get it off. Finally went to the doctor three weeks ago. I was told to cut out all bad cards which I did and I have dropped 8 lbs!!!! I have also really stepped up my exercise as I am traning to run, yes, I said RUN, my first 5K on Nov. 14th! Just something I want to do before I turn the big 50!!

That is great about the running.  I would love to set myself that kind of goal.  Maybe after winter...

This group was just what I was looking for....ok I am a few months shy of 18 but well past my goal weight and not sure how to do the maintenance thing.....I am still losing and I think it isn't a good thing. Albeit, it has really slowed down so I think my body is adjusting but I am apprehensive about the whole maintenance phase. Glad to be surrounded by others going through the same thing.
By the way, I wanted to know what is the meaning of the accronym RH mentionned in a post above....for the life of me I can't seem to figure it out today.

I had set one goal weight and surpassed it.  My body sems to have settled in on this weight and it feels pretty comfortable to me.  Perhaps will find a weight that you feel comfortable with.
