Back-on-Track Daily Check-in: May 28
Hello Students,
Here's your questions for the day to check-in with each other and share observations:
1) How many carbs did you consume yesterday?
2) How many ounces of water did you consume yesterday?
3) Did you exercise yesterday and, if so, what did you do?
4) What are you enjoying eating most these days?
5) What would you like to brag about today on your back-on-track journey?
6) What are you struggling with and need support on from your classmates?
7) What are you most grateful for today?
Feel free to cut and paste the questions and then respond on a new line after each one. See you Saturday, May 30th,
Kimberlee

1) How many carbs did you consume yesterday?
I did not count yesterday, but I did today. My carbs for today are 47.4grams, Fiber is 23% That's 19% of my diet today. Calories are: 1,091; Fat 46.4g (42% I know it's high); Pro 97.1g 39%
2) How many ounces of water did you consume yesterday?
I didn't count yesterday but today I am up to 32 oz. so far.
3) Did you exercise yesterday and, if so, what did you do?
Nope, nothing. Just usual walking around.
4) What are you enjoying eating most these days?
Yes, the recipes in Kick start are easy. But there are a lot of Ham recipes and I don't eat ham. So if we are to conform to these recipes and not vary, can they provide NON HAM ones?
5) What would you like to brag about today on your back-on-track journey?
Nothing today. LOL
6) What are you struggling with and need support on from your classmates?
Geez, how to make my meals the ngiht before when I have such a busy schedule and I am hardly home.
7) What are you most grateful for today?
I am grateful that I actually stuck to the program today!

Thanks for posting. I smiled at your answers. Excellent carb work!
Regarding so many of the recipes including ham in them, I totally hear ya. Even if I wasn't a vegetarian, I still wouldn't be eating ham as it's not kosher so I would again be in the same boat as you. Look at the recipes and see what you could substitute the ham for if that's a recipe you really want to consume. Please don't feel that you can only eat those recipes. You can come up with a ton of salad combos, not just the examples they provided. I actually did the beef and vegetable stew recipe but modified without the beef and it was awesome. I tossed in other veggies on the list that I already had at home and was thrilled that my husband loved it too. He actually asked when I would make that again! phew... The stew was really good the next day so if you haven't done that one already, make that the night before and just heat up at work the next day.
See ya,
Kimberlee

OK, thanks. I will see what i can sub for the ham.
I made the cheesy meatballs and spaghetti squash and my husb LOVED it. He wants to eat spaghetti squash 5 days a week now!
I also made tofu and asparagus. I think tofu is on the list? Nope, no tofu. darn it! But soy sauce and soy flour are on there. Hmmm, is that why soshanna isn't with us anymore? Too many foods NOT included?
I will try the stew prolly next week. See you tomorrow!
