Topic for our December meeting

Since we did not have sufficient time to cover this important topic at our November meeting, for our December meeting, we will devote the bulk of the time to talking about depression.  Keep in mind that we are not medical experts or will we give anything perceived as medical advice or treatment, our intent is to merely talk about feeling depressed at this time of year, any possible causes, etc.

I urge you to join us at the meeting if you are feeling sad, blue and, well depressed, so we can support you on feeling better.  I also urge you to attend to give support and perhaps hold the hand of the person next to you who might be down at the moment.

Between now and the meeting date, jot down to take a mental note of a moment that triggered you feeling blue so we can talk about it and compare notes.  For example, did seeing a loved one or celebrating Thanksgiving without a certain loved one leave us feeling sad, does the rain and/or gray skies have you down, did you just get laid off, or dare we say it, are you feeling depressed because you are regaining and feel out of control.  You get the picture.

I look forward to seeing you at this meeting.  Let me know if there is anything else you would like to talk about or add to this topic.  Thanks,

Kimberlee
