Hi Tammi,

Congrats on being one less person,  you must feel so much better.

I am one week out from my RNY.  Visited OH in the past year or so while making my decision but have not pursued any contact until I read a Q&A on hair loss and protein.  Christine's comments sounded so intriguing.

Prior to my surgery I was into nutritional foods and have been very concerned with not only the malnutrition but being able to continue with the foods we make at home.  After a phone conversation with Christine last evening I am so excited about being able to continue with natural foods for my family and myself.

Excited to be here.  Looking forward to joining the Saturday phone conference.

My hat is off to you with the Sunday school.  What age group do you teach?  Is this something you have always done or since you have lost that one person?  Some of my fondest childhood memories are attending VBS.  It was fun.

I actually think I over did it yesterday.  Feel uncomfortable this morning (stingy) or maybe that is healing.  I made my son mac & cheese for lunch yesterday, swept the entry to back door, and loaded reloaded the dishwasher twice yesterday along with the wiping of counter tops etc.  Guess I wanted to be a part of the family goings on with everyone home.

I seem to be progressing with my pureed foods and have noticed that when I get that protein in I feel better.  Decided to make that the first thing I drink today, my Isopure.  Makes me wonder about several of my vegan friends who get very little protein.  I would like to hear what your thoughts are on protein.

Good morning, how are you this morning? I am teaching K-5th and I just started 2 months ago, I am not for sure this is for me I have no patience I really do not want to deal w kids, Gods showing me patience. How long are u out from surgery? You will need to take it easy for quite some time you can do things but rest when u feel u need to and take a day just for your self and stay resting u need to heal. Protein is great for energy and weightloss and to heal, my problem after surgery I could not handle the protein drinks they made me sick, taste, smell YUK
Happens to a lot of people
I am able to eat 4,5 or 6 small meals aday and get in my protein. When I came home from the hospital I was on pureed diet and just did what I could do, alot of ice, frozen protein juice was great, refried beans and pureed meats etc.I have found now pure protein bars, think thin bars and can snack on 1 through out the day (sometimes) I read labels and eat different things I have found great things
I hopoe u are healing and you are in my prayers Tamm
any questions just ask
