Hello everyone!

My success has been the 35 lb wt loss I have accomplished in the last 5 weeks. My surgery was on Jan 30.

My struggles have been trying to fit in all my meals, water and protein on the days that I work. I am a nurse in L&D and I work night shift. I sleep during the day on the days I work then am awake during the days on the days I have off. It's been hard juggling the meal times and the water.

Barb,

Just dealt with my first "stall." I was 201 lbs from Feb 25th until this morning! 200 lbs was my 1st benchmark and I truly felt my body was fighting me and would not cross the threshold. I got pretty down and even went up to 101.5 at one point, but kept up with my protein added a bullet here and there and kept moving my body and this morning I was given the key to wonderland! Now I never have to look back again.

Glad to have this first goal in my rear view mirror. Now on to the next goals.

Thanks for asking
Dona

PS: I wrote this on March 2nd or 3rd. Since that time I have officially entere "OnderLand" and am currently at 199 lbs!

My sucesses lately have been that I have lost 58 pounds, I continue to journal every day and I am looking for creative and interesting recipes to stay interested.  I am off of my medications and I try to exercise a little every day even if it is walking around my neighborhood.  I am successful most weeks.

My struggles fortunately up to this time have been few.  I only recently started getting hungry.  Some of it is head hunger and some of it is real hunger.  I try hard to recognize the difference but I 'm not sure yet that I do.  And at 56 years old I am struggling with the skin.  I know that this is irrelavent in the whole scheme of things but it is tough.  It was bad before being postmenopausal and now I am just so surprised by how much there is so soon.  That is just a head thing I will have to deal with. It's part of learning.

Hi everyone,

Struggles

I am the major caregiver for my 80 yo mom.  Sometimes it is so stressful that I don't think before I eat.  I have actually sat for 8 hrs in the ER with her without eating so that when I do get a chance to eat I eat too fast because I am so hungry.  Then of course I toss it up!  I keep something in my purse to keep that from happening but sometimes I just forget!  Being a Realtor sometimes I know that I am not eating enough that day or the right things.  I really have to get more organized in that department. I am struggling with a plateau right now.

Successes

I have lost 55 lbs since my surgery in Aug. I have gone done from a 30/32 to a 24 in clothes.  I did not gain anything over the holidays!! Yeah!

Struggles...

Last week I was having severe sharp pains in my stomach above my belly button.  So Friday I had an EGD that confirmed I had an ulcer.  I was prescribed Nexium and I have not had any pain since then.

Successes...

I had surgery on December 17th and since then I have lost 46 lbs.  Other than the ulcer, I have had no complications.  I have been consistently working out at the gym for the first time in my life and I am feeling GREAT!

Wow...another doggie person:)  Is there a set day for the weight-loss support group?  I would like to save that day every month!  Also, how does a person get to be a certified  coach?  Thanks,
How I love my little poodles!
