This is what mine said. Ideal weight range is 134 - 147.4 lbs. (60.9 - 67 kg.).
You are overweight by 21.6 lbs. (10 kg.). I am 5'3" and at 169 I am 3 months post op. My next goal is 159. I expect to hit it in a week and half.

There is a lot of discussion about the percentage of excess body weight we might lose with any type of WLS. The average percentage of excess body weight lost with RNY, the most common of the WLS' is 60 to 80 percent. Generally, if you lose less than 50 percent or regain to a point that you are at 50 percent, you are no longer considered successful.
So... How, do we know how much we are 'supposed' weigh? Sometimes our Dr's will tell us what we should weigh, some don't. BMI tables are helpful, but they only tell us part of the story. In order to really know what are ideal body weight 'range' is, we need to also factor in our frame size. How many times have we thought we had a large frame? Some people actually do. I am just over the board from medium to large framed, but I use the medium frame weight guidelines for determining my weight range.
The following website link can help you to quantify what your 'ideal' body weight should be, so that you can calculate your percentage of excess body weight loss should be: http://www.healthcentral.com/diet-exercise/ideal-body-weight-3146-143.html
Please know that I'm not making any judgements about what YOU 'should' weigh. Your goal weight is between you and your Dr. You may decide that you want to be an 'average' weight, which may be different from a 'normal' weight, which may also be different that an 'ideal' weight. As long as you are healthy and able to live your life well, whatever weight you set as your goal is great!

Not sure I get enough of anything however. My intake is between 40g-60g per day. Should I be upping that?
I've come to the conclusion that there is no "GOAL" weight for me.
Here's why.
I am 6'1" tall and "big boned". I'm not using big boned as a cop-out to be fat but I literally have BIG BONES haha. My dad is 6'5" and at 280 doesn't look OBESE in the least bit. The way my family well me and dad is structured even now, I carry my weight well. Everyone says I'm proportioned for my extreme height and bones.
I have decided that after a year or so, my goal weight is what makes me comfortable. What makes me wake up in the morning and say I LOVE ME and I AM HAPPY. I believe that I will achieve the weight I should be and leave it at that.
My goal is to be a better and healthier me.
Christine,

I haven't been doing protein shakes for more than a year, but I'm rethinking that... Maybe it would help to keep the weight off.... We'll see.
Have a great time at the beach... I'll be thinking of you.

Nik,
Thanks for the link for the protein shake recipes. While, I've never done 'em much. I'm thinking that I might give 'em a try again as I think it might help in the long term maintenance.
Congrats on your amazing success!

Hmmm.... I'll have to see about printing this one off and giving it a try. Sounds right up my alley. I'm from CA and they have something called "Jamba Juice" there... I think there's one in Chapel Hill here. At any rate, what you make sounds a lot like my favorite drink from there.
Hope you are well.

Welcome to the Group!
You might try cottage cheese and/or skim ricotta. It's loaded with protein and you can make it savory or sweet. Check out Shelli's blog at http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com for wealth of recipes for all sorts of goodies.

Hi Becca,
Sounds like you are doing a great job and the fruits and vegi's will come with time. As you know, pushing the protien is the most important thing right now and as the swelling goes down and you have more room, you'll be able to expand the complex carbs.
Keep up the good work.
