Thanks for the support.  It helps knowing that others have been down the same road and made it.  Congratulations of the 40 lb loss so far...

Hi Im Dee and I found myself the same way but hang in and it will get better. My surgery was 4-20-9 and I still forget and go thru dumping but boy after I try real hard to remember.
I felt just like u and I couldnt vent I was in the hospital for 7 days with no pc. I wanted to no why I did it too, but u know what now I no why. 40 pds later it feels real good.  Your allowed to feel confused thats why we have friends on here to talk to. I still get confused its early but when I go in my closet and put something on that was too small it feels sooooo good.
Hang in there u will be ok. I'll keep u in my prayers.

The first days are tough...getting used to new eating and all.    Try to limit your intake of sugar...I drank powerade zero and crystal light   (still do) to keep hydrated without worryig about effects of sugar.     For me.....I was not in too big of a hurry to introduce  "normal" foods.  I was content to stick to my soft diet.

I am six weeks out of surgery...have lost 40 pounds and I feel better than I can remember feeling in a long time.     Hang in there.    You will get use to your new eating habits and trust me...once you see the weight start to come off........you won't miss eating  :-)    I know I didn't

I am 4 days out from the RNY.  This has been tough.  I keep telling myself, just make it through the week and the pain will go away.  Then I tell myself, just make it 3 weeks and you can have some type of food.  Now this morning at 4 am I think I experienced my first "dumping".  I woke up and was thristy and drank some apple juice, then 15 minutes later was I was in the bathroom.  I'm not sure if it was dumping or the gas release after surgery.  I feel as if I don't get enough protein and fluids in me but when I drink something, I get nausiated.  Why did I do this?  It just feels like so much pressure.  Sorry to rant, I just feel so confused and out of control.  It was just easier to pick up something to eat.

I am fairly small boned....I can overlap even my pinkie and thumb around my wrist....I'm wearing mainly size four jeans right now...however, all this extra skin puts me in mostly Medium tops. I don't know...I have a hard time knowing what I actually look like - I still feel like I'm a size 12/14 - I still feel like I look like a 12/14 - which isn't a bad size at all - I just don't understand how the tags on my jeans got switched to say 4...LOL.

Do you have a very small frame? I'm 5'6" tall. I weigh 143 and I wear a size 6 most of the time, so I'm not too big by any stretch of the imagination. I have weighed as little as 132, but that's pretty thin on me and I'm a couple of inches shorter than you are. I know that I'm little bit large boned, but I still can't imagine you weighing just 135.

Wishing you all the best,

I just did mine...I am almost 15 months post-op...I'm currently at 147 pounds.

Ideal weight range is 144 - 158.4 lbs. (65.5 - 72 kg.).
Contratulations! Your weight is ideal!

It's funny though because this is still above what my surgeon told me. My surgeon actually told me I should be about 135 for my height and bone structure...I am 5' 8 1/2".

When I input that - 135, it tells me that I would be underweight.

Below is my ideal weight range according to the link you'd supplied. I'm currently undergoing my 6 months of managing my weight so that I could be approved to have surgery. I sure hope to reach this goal below so that I could be healthy and happy in my everyday lifestyle.

Ideal weight range is 134 - 147.4 lbs. (60.9 - 67 kg.).
You are overweight by 132.6 lbs. (60 kg.).
You may wish to consult with your physician for medical help.
