Topic: HELP with Thinning Hair

Hello Everyone

For the past little while now I am starting to see that my hair is starting to thin out...... My family doctor told me to use volumizing shampoo but don't know if it's working.  I really notice it when I wash my hair and then when I bru****

I have heard rogaine is actually a waste of money and hard to find in the Ottawa, On Canada area.

Can anyone help with some suggestions.... would greatly be appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help

Very nice... I agree that perserverance is essential. I also believe that my lack of it before, as it relates to my health is played  a big role in getting me into trouble in the first place and is now what is helping me take care of myself now.

Greetings to my Fellow Losers!

My name is Brenda, I currently live in the Pacific Northwest (brrrr), and had Roux-en-Y surgery on November 16th, 2010.  I am 43 years old, but refuse to act my age, so I am often coy about telling anyone how old I am.  I live in sin with my boyfriend, Jeff, who is also persuing WLS.  We have my 19 year old daughter living with us, who also has battled obesity & is currently winning (yeah!).

Weight related information, hmmmmm... I have not weighed myself since my two week follow up, so I guess I need to get on that!  I am doing well with recovery, but still not allowed swimming or working out as I still have an open wound (see my Blog for details).  As for how I see my role in life, I want my outside to match my inside - so I hope to shed the extra me!  I used to say that I live in a large sized body because a smaller size could not contain me -- I am now thrilled at how much I am getting back from just losing 60+ pounds.

Positivity is job one, for this girl!  So, if you find yourself in need of a Cheerleader - give me a holler!  Oh, and even at my highest weight - 474 - I still swam in public & showed my strength.  It ain't easy being me, but it sure is FUN!

I also believe that I am Optimistic enough to sell a Pessimist a dream!  Another Brenda-ism: What doesn't kill me, just ****** me off!  Perseverance is essential, otherwise the human race would fizzle...

Remember that success is not found perfection, but in perseverance.

My goal is to go to the gym three times a week and work out for at least 45 minutes. Considering I live on a military post with free access to a gym, it is almost a crime that I have not been since my surgery.

My plan is to reach my weight goal of 163.  I am doing a weight routine(Chalene Extreme) three times a week and a regular exercise (Shaun T's Insanity Workout)three times a week.  I am drinking 10 glasses of water per day.  I am eating high protein with plenty of vegetables and fruits.  I hope I finally make it.

Yep, I need to add the de-cluttering to my list too.
