4 Weeks Post-Op

When did your surgeons let you start doing more exercise wise than just walking or leisurely biking??  I'm 4 weeks post-op today and went to the gym to do 40 minutes/9.5 miles on the recumbent bicycle today.  Am trying to be good on the not doing anything too strenuous, but I am also frustrated with my loss of muscle mass and weakness (do realize they are both part of the surgical weight loss process).

Any advice for me???

How is your weight loss and exercise regimen coming along now? While it is not uncommon for surgeons to release you to begin an exercise program at about 4 to 6 weeks post op, understand that this is really medical decision based on your personal abilities and medical issues. I hope that all is going well.
