Topic: 9 days post op and achy
I had DSon 10/26 and stopped pain meds yesterday morning.  I'm wondering if anyone else has felt achy, no fever, after surgery.  Is it common to feel this way?  Went to the Doc and wasn't feeling this, now I am.  Too late for me to call him today.  If it gets worse, of course I'll call.  In the mean time, all input is appreciated.

Thanks!
Diana

what you are going thru is NOT uncommon.
See a Dr for help, you have started a major life change, it can be like a roller coaster, fun scary and exhilarating

try some free samples of different kinds. the important thing is to get them in period. If that means childrens gummies....so be it.
I use Trader Joes chewable adult vitamins

Which ones have you tried?  I use the Flintstones with iron, chewables, twice a day with no problem.  If you've tried those and tell us the others you've tried, maybe someone else out there will have something not on your list.  Of course, you can always call the Doc's office for advice.

I'm sorry to hear you are having probs.  I hope you get some resolution soon as we all know how important the vitamins are with DS.

Hang in there,
Diana

Topic: RE: depression after surgery
Hi,before my surgery I was diagnosed anxiety and depression and one thing that was required for me after surgery was to have a therapist .  Because after surgery I was depressed, second guessing my self and having what I call "buyers remorse" which I have gotten over with the help of medication and my therapist and also my close friends. I would try and seek someone out to help.  It does not last forever but talking to someone about it helps alot
