Sorry you had to go through that. With time you will be able to eat rice. It just may be too soon. Also it should be only brown rice which I have to say really doesn't have much of a flavor by itself. I doctor it up a bit.  We can eat any condiment.

Its been almost a year out for me and I still have a problem with wheat pasta. It makes me terribly sick so now I know to stay away from it. Its just to heavy for my stomach. Also make sure all your food is moist if not it will hurt like crazy. But I promise it will get better.  I can eat just about anything and everything which I have to say its not always a good thing. Its too tempting to go back to your old way of eating. Gotta have a lot of determination and motivation to stay true to this new life style. So far so good. I am happy to say that I have gone from a size 24 to a slender size 6. Never thought that would be possible. And that is my motivation !!!!

Yes, after a while they will make you gag. You will need to find a variety and for me it was the thicker they were the nastier it was. I tried carnation instant breakfast, I  added dried milk for the extra protien and skim milk. That was bearable.

Also special K also makes a powder for water like strawberry kiwi, lemonade and iced T, it has about 5 grams of protein. Since you have to drink water anyways its another source of protein.

Good luck....it will seem for ever until you can eat solid regular food, but its worth the wait. When the times comes believe me you will be so happy with the weight you lost you will become hesitant to the new diet.

It's not you, you get sick of them but until you can get your protein from food you have to do them... even if you have to switch it up from time to time..

havent been in a week.. been busy with working and getting ready for christmas.. Boy do I feel like crap about it too.. Was gonna go tonight but cant find the energy.  Gonna go  tomorrow night as soon as I get off from work. Then gonna go Sat before I go to work.  Doubt I will do anything on sudnay, but then Will go monday morning when I get off from work. 

I find that if I go right after work, I have more chance to just do it and get it over with.  Remember that you can turn the radio up and dance to break out a sweat!!!

Way to go on the walking !!!! I went to the store with my mom today and we always took a cart to lean on and for support and she grabbed two carts and I told her I didnt need one and she actually said "Oh yeah your miss fitness now" LOL Never thought I would hear that. Surgery was the best thing ever... so glad to hear its going great for you too!!

Well I had my last visit with the dietition last week for 3 months so am on my own , just got to the point where I am allowed to eat almost anything...well today I had 1/4 cup of Chicken Fried Rice and WOWZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZA I will NEVER EVER eat rice again. I was never told to stay away from rice and I got this frozen chicken fried rice and it had high protein , low calorie so I thought it was a great choice.. NOT... I spent the entire day in the bathroom with the runs, and now I had to make an emergency trip to Walgreens for some GasX because my stomach is so hard bloated and just gassy feeling... Anyways wanted to spread the word for the other newbies out there to proceed with caution when it comes to rice... also if the experts could answer any other foods that I should beware of?

I have slacked off the walking lately myself.
too lazy/depressed to get going and i know I have to do it, nobody can do it for us.

Step away from the cookies/bread/crackers.
those are bad habits and they are  trying to bring you down
