Hi all BB,

I saw my surgeon on the 2nd. He is thrilled with me. I started out being short of breathe walking to my car and now I can walk a mile with out a problem!!!! He did say it's time to start toning and building my muscle mass. To the gym I will go. I don't like it but I will do it anyway.

Many people ask how I have lost so much weight so fast. I think it's because I have never gotten my appetite back. AND I've always had a sensitive pouch. I have to be really strict with what I can eat. I still force myself to eat. Sometimes my sis gets on my case about not eating enough.  I simply forget. Then I must push the protein for a while to catch up. Not a good thing at times. My doctor said I should be able to eat just about anything now, but pasta is still my worst enemy. ( no sugars, of course.)
I'm so proud of all of us that started this weight loss surgery about the same time. It's so great to have had BB beside me the whole way.

Hi Fran,

I'm thrilled for you that you have lost 95 pounds!!!!!! Think of all the things you can do now that you couldn't do a year ago. We started this journey about the same time. I'm so proud of both of us.

I'm craving sugar. I don't know why. I made cookies over Christmas, but did really well staying out of them. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me.
     Hugs to you my friend.
Mag     Here is a rose for both of us.

Congrats on the surgeversary.
Do not compare your loss to others, we are all different!
Carbs are my nemesis as well, you are in good company here

1 year ago on Jan 3 2011 I had RNY. It has 4ever changed my life.

Starting weight 360
Ending weight 265
Loss 95 pounds

Guess this would categorize me as a slow loser. But hell I am ok with that. Atleast I am a loser. Been in a stall and have been trying to break free. At loss for what  to do. The one thing that I do know I need to do is to kill the carbmonster who's been lurking around. Thinking of doing the 5day pouch test, but more so as to kick the demon. Think Friday will be the day. I work so believe it or not it will be easier to do this for the 3 day weekend. I am gonna make the split pea and pumpkin sausage soups on Sunday.

been feeling tired.  Having weird cravings..  ice and ice cold beverages (which is weird since I am always drinking room temperature drinks).

I am afraid to go to my 1 year follow up appt.  I am afraid of what they might say.  I really havent lost much in the past 6 months as far as weight.  I have lost inches though.  Havent had measurements taken in awhile.

I could just kick myself for not taking a picture on the day I went into surgery.  will get a recent pic posted up here.  I can definitely see the difference though.  I cannot believe how HUGE I was going into this.

Mag,

Happy New Year to you too. So glad we are still going strong one year after surgery. My surgiversary is on Jan. 17 and my one year appt is next week.  I was told during my 6 month appt. I probably would go lower than 160 pounds.

Really going to love their reaction when I get on that scale. I haven't budged from 145 lbs. in over a month. But then again I haven't done anything to get rid of any more weight since I had my throidecty surgery in November. But I haven't gained any weight either.

I really need to get on the ball and get motivated again.  I would still like to get to atleast 130 lbs. Just cause I like that number. But Not sure that I want to be much smaller. Just want to tone down.

Anyways Congrats to you on all your weight loss .

Hi all,

Hoping you had a fun and safe New Year's Eve and that 2012 is the best year of your life.
Fireworks going off in my neighborhood last nigh****ching football today.
I have my 1 year appointment tomorrow. Looking forward to see his reaction since I've been losing steadily for the last 3 months. Didn't gain anything over the holiday season.

Hugs, thoughts and prayers to you all.
