Fran,

My knee is doing great after the replacement. I had heard horror stories and was somewhat fearful. Wasn't as bad as I thought. Life is much better without pain. I didn't realize how much the pain influenced my life. It's great to be pain free.    Mag

Being Diabetes free is awesome! I can't wait for you to experience that!!!

As you workout, combine your cardio and strength training you will be amazed at what a difference the exercising makes!  It completely transformed the way I looked.  I couldn't believe that I had this smaller person inside me :)

Yankees wow!  well they do have the highest payroll in baseball right? Dream big or go home is my philosophy! Keep up the great work :)

Fran,

Exercise has helped lose my weight in the last few months. I have to admit that I need to get back on the stick and make high on the list of things to do. I'm always so tired lately due to not sleeping well. 4 hours last night.   Hugs,   Mag

Thank you everyone for your kind words and encouragement!  I finished the antibiotics and I am so relieved and happy to say that I feel soo much better.  I still have some problems at night, but I don't have the gas and bloating during the day. I can deal with the evening issue considering that I feel like I have more energy and I don't feel so worn out.  Going to try to add probiotics to see if that will make sure this doesn't happen again.

I also spoke with the nutriionist and I am going to try to increase the fiber slowly in order to make sure I have a more balanced diet.

Just thought I would shout out the importance of any sort of physical activity.  I am trying to get more activity in besides on the days that I go to the gym.

Today I did WATP video (3 miles) 45 minutes.  Then got outside in the cold top enjoy the sunshine and walked for about 10 minutes.

My goal for the rest of the week is to get atleast 15 minutes of exercise in each day.

What did you do to get active today????  What is you plans for the rest of the week????

hey girlie.. i've been trying to catch up to u on the scale... LOL.. im at 259.5 pounds now.  Stayed at 270 forever it seemed.   I havent been to the gym but twice since before christmas.  need to gt back with it though.  I am shooting for tomorrow after my MD appt and errands..  I have been doing my WATP (walk away the pound)  videos.  U can brak out into a good sweat with them.  What I like about them is that I can go at my own pace.  If I feel blah and dont have much energy I cna go at one level and then rev it up the next time when I have more energy.

I've been drinking alot of hot DECAF tea.  been drinking ice coffee some with protein powder in it..  but if ur cold, then this isnt the best thing for you.

Hows ur knees doing?

I had almost the same exact problem just last month.  I had my RNY in 2010 and had reached my goal weight.  In December I noticed I was getting more and more gassy the more I ate solid foods.  After about 2 weeks It got horribly worse and painful.  No matter what I ate or drank (because I was on mostly soups) I had diarrhea for a month.  I found out that it was a stomach virus that was going around.  It was the first time since my surgery that I had any type of virus or flu like symptoms.  My Dr at the time stated it was the way that my body was dealing with it after the surgery.  I honestly thought I was going to die.  I lost an additional 15 pounds putting me WAY below the weight I ever wanted to be.  I have since gotten rid of the virus and I am working on putting the weight back on.  Try to keep eating, listen to the doctor and keep us informed. Feel better soon!!!
