Topic: RE: Appointments and Waiting
Man the waiting is the hardest part. I'm still interviewing surgeons and sometimes it takes offices over a week to get back to me. I know how you feel, but soon it will be your day and this wait will seem like nothing :)

Topic: Hello everyone :)
A friend told me that this was such a nice forum that I decided to join :) First I want to ask if it matters what type of surgery you have had? Or are planning to have? I'm just looking for people like me who have had WLS and are trying to live healthier.
I hope you all are having great success with your surgery of choice :)

The great thing about that cookbook is that every recipe has a box that lists the different bariatric surgeries and what the portions sizes and other suggestions are for each type AND they have full nutrition panel for easy ood logging. "Normal" portions are also described for people eating with you who haven't had surgery. Let me know what you think if you get it =)

The book on amazon that you reviewed, do you think it would be appropriate for DSers as well, or is it geared more towards RNYers? Thanks for sharing all these links!

Hi Maria,
It sounds like you're doing great, keep up the great work! If you ever have questions about the band, feel free to ask. Even tho I'm revising I DO NOT feel it is a less successful surgery...it just wasn't the one for me. When I was on this board before it offered such support, and I hope it does the same for you!
Hugs,

This is very much what I need at the moment and I am totally in.
The areas that I honestly need to focus on are getting the protein in, getting my supplements in and working off what I have regained. I plan on going to the gym and trying to work out with my family more, I will try to cook more soy and tofu so I can get my protien in, and start buying supplements when I go to the store or order online. I really would love encouragement from the group.

a cup of coffee a day might he;p regulate things too. I take senna and colace both twice a day. I do have the miralax but remembering to take the pills is just easier when I can put them in my weekly pill box
