Hello everyone,

I am new to OH. My name is Tiffany. I had gastric bypass March 31, 2011. I have lost 52 lbs. I am proud of my weight lost and it's cool when people at work say they can tell I have lost weight. But when I look in the mirror I still look big. Does anyone else feel like this?

Tiffany

Sorry about your neck, Mag glad you are getting some exercise. At this point ANY exercise is GOOD  exercise. I hope to be able to afford some PT come September.
I didn't do too bad yesterday. Usual breakfast, top of chicken leg plus veggies for lunch, bottom for dinner. Was hungry after dinner though, so I had a little beer salami and a little cheese for a snack. OK, we are trying to lose weight b ut I don't believe in hunger!!
Eyes are still bad, doc said I could either take corticosteroids or ride it out. Hubby is pushing for steroids, but I just managed to get myself on track, so I'll probably wait it out. We'll see...

Hi Amalia and Patrece, and others,
Sorry I've been missing in action. Seems like my body and brain have been separated. Wow. Can't think straight today. No hunger and no desire to eat. Getting protein in regularly, but still having problems with this blasted water. I'll try harder today. Have not been to bed all night, but still not sleepy.
Re-injured my neck Tuesday night when getting ready for bed. Just twisted wrong. Back to neck brace 24/7. The good news is we worked on abds and gluts at PT yesterday. Good exercise. Dr. Steve said to leave out the upper body work and give the neck a chance to settle down. Dr. Steve said I was a miracle. I don't understand that. I'm just working to get to a better place and asking God to bless me in this journey. That's no miracle.
Well, I've rattled on enough. Hugs and love to my special friends    Mag

Count your blessings. I was held in-hospital 7 days post-op without food or drink and was on liquids only for 1 week after that. No complications, S.O.P for my doc. It's too early to feel your restriction, you may not feel it until the 2nd month. That doesn't mean that you can eat. It means that you need to be extra careful at the beginning. Keep to your program and you should be fine. Best of luck!

Hi Girlfriend,
I agree with Tammy. Not a good thing to be sick . Best to keep everything down.  Happy dance.    Happy dance.
Many people go through emotional swings after weight loss surgery. Maybe that's part of what's going on. Does your tummy say your hungry? Or is it that your "mind" is hungry. I for one think I want to eat especially when I am stressed. The surgery was a big stress for me. I'm learning with time what is true hunger and what is "head" hunger. Let us know what the doctor has to say. OK?   Mag
