Topic: RE: Challenge...NOT for everyone!
I am almost six months post op and getting exercise is my issue. On the weekends it is great for now since we are at a trailer and walking with the kids and the dog is great. At home during the week, it is work and kids activities and helping with homework - there just doesn't seem to be the time. I need to push to have 'me' time which is not working out well.

As for the food, I was getting bored, and a little jealous of the no red meat thing, but I got inventive last weekend. I was making meals for the freezer and made a chicken equivalent of stew (same veggies but with chunks of chicken breast) and a shepperds pie with ground chicken instead of ground beef. The latter I measured the veggies, chicken and potatoes for two servings putting them into a small casserole. Now I don't need to be missing the same foods my family is eating.

The water is not an issue. There are times I get bored with it but I have discovered a wide range of caffeine teas that are interesting.

Topic: Afternoon everyone
I have been guilty of taking care of myself and getting things accomplished around home the last couple of weeks, and I AM BACK!!!  Patrece came for a much needed break from her life, the time visiting went waaaaay to quickly.

I got a replacement cell phone for my last one, it officially died, and this one has so many more features from my flip phone.  I learn something new almost everytime I turn the screen on.

Work is busy, we lost another member of the staff to a monday to friday job, no holiday, no weekends, can't blame her.  Another coworker still has 4 weeks maternity leave and another heading out for planned surgery.  This means that there are extra hours that need filling.  I say 'yes' more often than is healthy.  I also volunteer to stay home 'on call' for some of those hours for my own health when the census is low and not as much staff is needed.

We had our killing frost a couple weeks ago and now are enjoying the last warm days of fall.  The leaves are changing daily, more falling from the trees.  Love the smells of fall and the sound of leaves crunching.  Fall could last 4-5 months if I had my wish.  I don't get to play with mother nature's schedule, bummer.

I see we are gaining new members, Welcome everyone.  Feel free to post and share thoughts, we depend on each other for the support needed.  I will catch up with posts as I can.

Take time to get in your protein and water.  Enjoy the fall weather with daily activity.  Loser's together.  Yayyy Bariatric Buddy Group!!!!!

Hope you're much better by now, Mag.  I'm getting over a cold as well.  Still coughing but, definitely on the mend.  Been offline, too, as it's been a very busy week.  I hope things settle down for both of us this coming week.

God bless,
Diana
I hope you dance with enthusiasm... and a million other things joyful!
