Topic: A NEW CLIENT

I am very nervous about having this surgery.  I am in my sixth visit and I am due to have surgery in January.  Does anyone have any advice for me about how to go into this and what happens after the surgery.  I am so nervous and excited because this is a new start in my life and I want to do it right and be successful.  Please all advice is welcome.

Topic: MIA...Too long

Hey all! I have been gone for way too long. I recently celebrated my 2 yr gastric bypass surgery anniversary. Its been a very long and exciting journey that I am so blessed to been able to take. Best decision I have made in recent years best ever in regards to my health.

Now, down to the down low! I have been a plateau for over a year now. I had lost about 15 lbs at the beginning of 2012 and nothing since. Weight just seems to go back and forth 2-3 lbs on a daily basis.

I have not been able to exercise due to  back injury so I guess I am lucky in the sense that I have not put on any weight. I am no longer following any nutrition plan.

I really want to lose at least 30 lbs. I just don't know how to do it. I try and be mindful of what I eat and have maintained my current weight however I am still over weight and its driving me crazy. I need major help and support... some motivation please????!!!!!!

hi everyone

today is my first day on the medifast / lean green step to a better me . i found myself feeling extremely full and actually getting sick of eating i calculated it out that i have to drink a shake every 4 hours and then my one lean and green meal. i am over stuffed and i still have 1 more shake to go. did anyone else have this problem? i think the reason why i feel this way is because i never ate like this i use to only eat 1 meal day out of sheer lack of time. now im finding it hard to actually eat the requirements necessary that was set by my doc . this is a life change for me and im looking forward to a long and healthy future kiss

Hi i am new to the bariatric world i just had my first consultation 2 weeks ago and i am going to go meet with a nutritionist on the 15th of this month. I'm not sure exactly what i should be doing I'm trying to limit carbs and started taking the vitamins they said i need and trying to limit my proportions but not exactly sure what i should be doing. I'm hoping that the visit on the 15th will give me a clear view on what i am to do. any thoughts or suggestions to prep me for this first visit?

Topic: Has anyone had the RNY

I had a  RNY Gastric Bypass on July 24, 2012 I have some questions my questions are:

  1. I am wondering Who in this group has had a RNY Gastric Bypass Done I have a lot of Questions about Gastric Bypass and would like to talk to someone that has had a Gastric Bypass?
  2. I am wondering if you can also be my email pen pal because I am looking for email pen pals that will accept short letters with questions like for example: Do you have any pets? Do you like music? What type of music do you like?

If you know the answers please email me at the emails below:

Hi All!
So glad to be able to find you here.  I am hoping to be cleared to have surgery in December. Should find out this month.  I want the sleeve but my surgeon wants Bypass due to my hiatal hernia.  How did you all decide?  I am seriously freaked out about dumping syndrome, hence wanting the sleeve.  Any advice would be welcome!
Blessings,
Amanda

 Hi,

I'm pre op. Refinding this site and all the wonderful resources. I'm getting clearances and seeing many doctors right now. I also have to lose 14 lbs so I'm working on that and starting to make the changes to my diet that they recommend. It's been kind of hard, I haven't thought so much about what I eat and when I eat and how I eat. Sometimes it feels overwhelming. I spend a lot of time on you tube now at nigh****ching vlogs of wls patients and trying to keep my inspiration and motivation high.
