Congrats on getting the revision taken care of. I am sure you are normal at this point, as we are all different in our recovery. Take it slow, keep notes of what works and when you eat drink etc.
It will all work out!

ty about the pic.  People at work say I look younger, to me I think the pic makes me look older.. LOL.. go figure.. but I do think I look a helluva lot better

I dont blame you about taking the inlaws out for dinner instead of the cooking.  This is the 1st year that we really made a fuss about it with my fiance's family.  My idea!  Normally me and him dont do much either, since I am working most holidays.

I work Christmas this year, the entire weekend 12h night shifts.  We are gonna have a light dinner at my house with his mom and nephew and then I am gonna take some foods into work on Saturday at work for our lil dinner.

My vitamin D were low b4 surgery, So I have been on a supplement since.  I joke about being a vampire sometimes to my patients since I can see really good in the night with lil lights on at all.  I too keep the same schedule on my days off.  Up til 2-3a and sleep til 12n-1p.  I find that it makes my life easier.  Will be glad when it is light out longer though.  I enjoyed the sunshine this spring/summer and was out in it alot

Made it to the gym yesteday morning b4 coming home from work.  Had planned to go back, but I ended up sleeping all day.  Wasnt in the greatest of moods.  I was crabby and emotional.  Was missing my mother and really had no one to talk to about it.  I did drink 3 protein shakes yesterday and ate 1 meal, so I wasnt malnourished.  Just a tad bit dehydrated this morning.  So I am shooting for about 84oz of water today.  Better get a move on it then.

Hugs

u look great by the way.  It is so easy to fall off the wagon.  I guess this isnt much different than before, I just have to change my way of thinking.  Its not all or nothing.  If I have a bad day, then I just pick up and have a better day the next day.  Afterall 90+ pounds is nothing to whine about.  Now I will just have to work a tad bit harder for the next 90.  As in many areas of my life, I am sure I will find that I will appreciate the end results the harder I have to work for it.

U keep up the good work.

Thanks Kathy, I appreciate your input. So far so good. I went and got my follow up blood test, (four weeks) and my levels are back to normal. So I would recommend it because now I know it works too. My doc was even surprised on how quickly it worked and he was going to keep it in mind.
Thanks!...

I am already down about 7 pounds since my preop weight. A couple of days I have been able to get in 64 oz of fluid, but today only got in 40 oz protein/40 oz of fluid. Not sure is this is typical or not. I normally do a protein shake a day and that gives me anywhere from 30-40 grams of protein in an 8 oz shake. I normally work on this each morning for a couple of hours to get through it.  Since I am still on liquids I figure at least this is liquid protein.
Guess I'm just kinda concerned about when I start puree/soft foods, since the liquids are still giving me trouble sometimes. I am supposed to start this stage on Wednesday. I figure once i get to this stage I will split my shake into half morning/half afternoon to allow my pouch to attempt to get used to food.

Welcome to the group Steph.  We all have episodes from time to time.  Things will smooth out more each day.  The tightness sounds normal.  Sip, sip, sip between meals.  You are getting quite a bit of walking in, congrats on your miles.  I found that shortly after surgery, if I tried to walk too far, I had more discomfort.  This extra discomfort from overdoing activity resolved by a month out.

Give yourself time to heal from your recent surgery.  The weight loss will happen.  Right now, your body is hanging onto every calorie and ounce of fluid it gets.  As your fluid intake improves, your weight loss will pick up too.

We have chat sessions on monday evenings, check back to a post last week for the shortcut.  Most mondays I post the shortcut.  We chat about what is happening with the members that are present for chat, ask and answer questions, give support.

The members that come back frequently to post and share get the most out of the group.  We have members from several countries and all across the USA, rookies to several years out from surgery.

Let's wander this wls journey together.  Loser's united.
