Other bonus of working out your core is that your posture improves and you look taller. For someone who is 5 foot tall, I will take any advantage I can to look taller

Topic: Update #2
So I had my 1st Post Op Appointment with my Nutritionist and she was as excited for me as I was. I was cleared to begin solids (You know I wanted that damn egg...). In 2 weeks, I have lost 30+ lbs and was doing great with my water and protein intake (Once I found one that I could tolerate).
After meeting with the Nutritionist, I headed to see my surgeon and have the staples removed. Another satisfied client. He was ecstatic that I had lost so much weight so fast and that I was walking an hour / day by the 2nd day I was home. He said I am on pace to possibly be one of his best results in his patients.
I then went home and my lovely wife prepared me a single scrambled egg in skim milk (only had 2oz and she ate the rest). Took me about 5 minutes to get it down and though it had no taste, we'll add some flavor the next time around.
For today, we made 4 2oz cups of Pureed Tuna with 2 tbsp of Light Mayo and skim milk (12g of Protein right there)
Meal times are 9am, 12pm, 3pm and 6pm
I am Very Happy so far and cant wait to be cleared to lift and for Softball season to come so I can get to the cages and start working out for the season.
BRING IT ON!!!

I would definitely check out your alternatives. I think it's scary that they got you through so fast to have the surgery. There's a reason this should take a while to get to. I personally took the long route to get mine. I waited for the best doctor in our area. I could have got it quicker at another hospital, but I am sure it would not have been worth it. I had a friend who got a lap band at a different hospital and had several complications directly related to the surgery. She ended up going to the same surgeon I used, Dr. O'Malley, for him to fix it. There's another hospital near here with a less expericned surgeon who does these operations, and sure she does them regularly, but she has had serious issues too. I think it's definitely worth while to do some research and use the best surgeon possible - even if it takes longer. It's your life - not something to take lightly. Good luck and let us know how you make out with it!

Topic: RE: Exercise and Accountability
Yes, its the 2nd Tuesday of the month. We normally get an email the week before to let us know what the topic is. If its something you are interested in you go. If not you skip it. Personnally for me I find the time after the speakers are done better then the topic as we split into groups and just discuss whatever we want and ask questions.
The groups are newbies, then 2nd stage, over 6 months etc.
