Topic: Gassy Question
I have not been around too much lately with the holidays and living my new life, but I wanted to know if anyone else has an abundant amount of gas since their surgery?  I find that no matter what I eat (something are worse of course) I end up having lots of gas.
Is there something I can take to eliminate it or change more of what I'm eating?  If someone has seen asked this and I have missed it sorry.  I'm about 5 months from my 2 year surgery date and have lost and additional 20 pounds from my initial goal weight.  I'M So happy I had this surgery!!!!1

Topic: 3rd UPDATE!!!
So this week has been a bit rough since I am no longer losing 4-7lbs a day.  However, Today I got down to 300.2lbs.  Do you know what that means?  It means that soon, I will be a lean mean 299lbs of Sexy Beef... (At least my wife thinks so...).

I am having no problem eating 3 or even 4 oz at any sit in.  However, I am sticking to eating what my nutritionist recommended.

Ground Turkey, Chicken Breast, Tuna, Slice of whole wheat with a slice of cheese.

As for my water intake, I am not getting 64oz, but more like 55oz or so throughout the day.

I also have been very sick with a damn cold this past week that hasnt allowed me to walk as much as I want to given that the temperature is so damn low all of a sudden.

On ANOTHER happy note...  I have not had to ***** myself with Novolog (insulin) the past 2 days because my blood sugar levels have been under 150mg...  YAY FOR ME!!!!  (That sounded so weird because I actually just screamed it out at work...)

The next Update will be next friday and by then, I will have met the 1st of my many goals...

3-4 small pieces Pimentos (jarred)
smoked parprika
garlic/onion powder

- mash the pimentos with a fork.
- fold into the laughing cow wedge
- season with garlic powder and smoked paprika to taste

I spread this over 1/2 of sandwich thin (multigrain) and topped with 2oz shaved deli ham..  OMG this was so TASTEY! Calories: 145, Fat: 3.5g, Carbs: 13g, Sugar: 2g, Protein: 14.5g

Joined WW yesterday to see if I can get a grip on the eating healthy part.  I have realized that although I have been getting my protein in, it may not have been the healthiest proteins.  I have been eating ALOT of cheese.  So my goal is to eat only refuced fat cheese and to cut that down as well.

Went to grocery store yesterday.  Tried to buy healthy stuff.  Bought reduced fat cheese, laughing cow cheese, egg whites, turkey sausage patties, arnold sandwich thins (multigrain) and lots of frozen veggies.

Made a pumpkin/sausage soup with spinach today to last the week.  Also gonna be doing protein shake or protein coffee once a day.

OH yeah.  Made a spread with laughing cow cheese,  pimentos, onion/garlic powder, and paprika.  YUM.

Right now I can only have about 1/2 cup of this, but it is amazing!  Insead of white rice, I use instant brown rice.  Also, instead of regular Cheddar Cheese, I use low fat.  YUM!!

Sam
It's been one heck of year, hasn't it? One of my weight loss buddies told me in the beginning that it would be a wild ride and she was so right.

I was told that I wouldn't go below 230 at best by some one in the medical field. Thank God I didn't believe her. One year!!! Can you believe it? Where did the time go?    Hugs to you. As always,   Mag
