Hi Laurie,

I'm one year out and I know what you are talking about. My doctor said working out at the gym is going to help with toning and building muscles. He said that if I'm faithful to do the exercise, I will see improvement for the first year. I have lost so much (there was a lot of me to lose) that I know that plastic surgery will be in my future. That's okay. My health and life is so much better that I'll take my wings and become an angel.

Good luck with your journey. Keep us posted.   Mag

Wow I am feeling better after bypass on 10/13, lost 35 pounds, but gained wings under my arms and my boobs just keep getting lower.

Any advice?  Or is this just the way it is.  Thank goodness it's winter so I can wear long sleeves.

Have you tried a probiotic daily?  I also take a combo pill (senna/colace) that I got from CVS.  Been helping.

So the other day, I was looking at my profile...  (Yes, I do look at it to see how good it looks...) and I noticed the "Goals" section and was like WTF is that?

Once I go into that section and can see the goals others have, I created my list and after 3 weeks of Surgery...

I knocked the 1st Mutha F'er Down...  Good Bye to the 300lb Club...  Hello 290's!!! (I cant wait to say Good buy to you at 289lbs...

Hi Lourdes,
Like the others say, I don't have any specific answer for you. I just wanted to let you know I care. I hope you find some answers fast. Do you have a nutritionist that you work with? I'll say a prayer for you.   Mag

Hi sweet Sam,

I ,too, am glad you are cancer free. I know that your recuperation will be slower than you may want. I've had 3 other surgeries this past year besides my WLS. I use to bounce back from surgeries, but not so much any more. I've been having cravings lately. Not a fun place to be. Maybe your body is thinking it needs something. I'm just rambling here. I really have no idea why some cravings come and go. I just want to encourage you during this recovery. Hold on tight to what you know has worked for you. I usually gain back some of the weight I lose after a surgery.  This probably is not helping much, but I care about you and want the best for you   Hugs,   Mag

Great idea Cindy, I will program my phone too.  Work sometimes takes me away from chat time.  I thank you for being there when I can't participate.  Thanks for sharing posts here on the group page too.  It is amazing how life just takes over, busy, busy, busy.  I need to take some me time and regroup my brain.
