Topic: Heart going crazy after I eat???
Does anyone have the problem that after they eat ( doesn't matter what type of food or how much/little of it is eaten) their heart rate goes up to realllllly fast. I have this problem for a few months but it is getting so bad now that I get breathless, dizzy, feel like I am going to pass out, I shake like crazy and just don't feel good all over. I have called my dr but he wasn't in so I left a message for him to call me back but of course he hasn't done that yet. I was just wondering if anyone else has/had this problem and if they have any idea what causes it.
Thanks
Davina

Ahh the tummy noises. I just had to name them the "gremlins" they were
discussing how they were gonna get back at me for eliminating their free
food. The "gremlins" are still here and I am 8 months out. They get quiet
for awhile but every now and then they let me know and everyone else in
the room that they are still here.
Glad that your on the losers bench. Get your rest.

Topic: RE: Have to gain weight
The metalic taste is from rapid fat burning. You are going to have to get in nutrition however you can right now. Drink carnation instant breakfasts, protein, smoothies, whatever you can if you are unable to eat solids. Have you followed up with the surgeon that did your plastics?
It can be normal to lose some weight after surgery, as our bodies burn like 3000 calories a day when healing, and thats just for healing, not anything else.
I would also suggest to mix a scoop of protein into crystal light and sip sip sip it allllll day long (well several of them). this way you are getting a constant source of nutrition, protein and calories.
I'll give you 10 or 15 of my lbs! then we'd both be happier...lol
I just don't get whats going on that you cannot eat. Think you need to seek medical attention asap on this. You cannot afford to lose anymore!

AWESOME!!!!!! Congrats and welcome to the losers bench!!! I am so glad all went well for you!
Your abdominal cavity was pumped full of air during surgery to allow for them to get to everything they needed to. It takes quite a while (a week or 2 anyhow) to get all of that air out again. I must admit after my first 4 days or so post-op, the bloating and pressure from that caused me more discomfort than anything most of the time. With wls you can usually tell if you are too full easily. It is sooooo uncomfortable. Try not to eat (drink) to that point tho. Measure and sip slowly.
Rest well!

Topic: I FREAKIN' DID IT!!!!!!!!!!
OH YEAH BABY!!!
I FREAKIN' DID IT!!!!
I ran my half marathon in Toronto on Sunday. Although I had nasty blisters and it was raining (totally cold and wet!) I did it.....3 hrs and 25 mins - 21.5 km.
Well some might say the time is pretty bad - I say it's an incredible thing that not only did I RUN but I FINSIHED!!! Yep I'm so proud of myself.
