Hey Colleen... who would have thought you'd have to work to regain after having to undergo WLS right? lol. Go figure! I personally anm working to rid my body of a few pounds I put back on while in my first semester of school. Not happy at all about that. Wish I could donate it to you!

If you and your hubby are happy with your results, why worry about it? another surgery will likely result in some weight loss again. I lose weight every time I undergo surgery. To,ld my hubby I need another surgery so I can get off this few lbs easier..lol.

Do what you must to get healthy again, but don't get too used to eating any ole thing, as it very likely can come back to haunt you later.
Hugs!

I would suggest attending support group meetings at each of them and asking questions on peoples experiences and going from there. You should be able to attend a support group meeting or 2 at each prior to surgery and this may prove to help alot as you try to decide. If you still find they are all very similar, I'd go with the one closest to you.

Thanks for the info, Kathy.  It helps.  And, congrats on the reduction of cpap and insulin.  Those are big steps to recovery!  I should find out today if the doc has accepted me.
I hope you dance with enthusiasm... and a million other things joyful!

Thanks for the recipe Tim. This works well for before surgery. I don't use a lot of rice, the rice has too many carbohydrates for my diabetes. After surgery, we need to limit carbohydrates, there is not enough room in our pouches for both protein and carbohydrates. Many of us avoid things like rice that can continue to puff up after we eat it. This can cause uncomfortable feelings for our pouches.

Be careful for adding extra salt to foods. The salt can cause us to retain extra fluids, especially in our feet and ankles. Adding the onion salt, garlic salt and other salt increases the sodium. Consider adding extra garlic, onion instead of the salts for more flavor. Keep on cooking, glad to see your efforts.
