I did well yesterday. I managed to eliminate all carbs except for a few salad greens for lunch. I almost broke it in the evening as I - somehow?? - took a bag of garbanzo beans plus raisins to bed with me but I came to my senses quickly and abstained! I did better than my brother (who is also trying to lose weight) as I saw this morning that he had polished off half a container (about 100grams [3 oz] ) of peanuts!
My dentist appointment was postponed until Thursday so I didn't go.
I weighed in this morning and I'm half a kilo down! This is better than I have done since 1989!! Goal here I come!

Over 110 lbs lost!! (Finally!)

So my day ended up well for the most part. Only thing I lacked was getting the darned walk in again! BUT did yard work, worked in garage, did lots of cleaning too, so all in all was a pretty active day. Got in 48 oz of crystal light and 32 oz of water. 3 cups of coffee, then a few sips of my husbands. Food blunder for the day was that at 10 PM I just craved a banana so much, I went ahead and ate one. I typically eat one every morning, and various other fruits during the day. But the phase 1 is no fruits aside from a tomato, so I guess technically I blew it with the banana...but beats sweets or other more poor carb choices.

scale was only down .4 this morning, so in reality, no loss yet. BUT no gain right?!? The lbs do not come on overnight, although they seem to, and it takes time for them to come off as well.

Tomorrow will be sort of busy day for me. A couple of appt's and have to take my husband to Colorado Springs and drop him off. he will be there for a visit for a few days. The break and me time will be very good for me. Will probably be checking in closer to evening, but i will come and check in.

Great job! I am glad you are finding the challenge helpful. Carbs seem to be a challenge for so many. Glad you are logging your intakje and noticed the intake was too high. Meal planning can help tons with that! If you decrease your carbs to 20 or less for 3 days, all carb cravings and excess hunger should go away after those 3 days for the most part. (de-carb).

I have noticed if I push myself to get active, after a few days I feel more energetic and sleep much better. Try just walking 10 minutes. If you can do it, go more, if not, it is 10 more minutes than you would have had. Usually it is just the getting started that is the hard part.

Keep up the great work! YOU CAN DO IT!

Checking in!!! Yesterday was a good day, I was able to get down 32 oz of water (not much but yet a good start). I also took advantage of some free time while my son was at karate practice I got on the treadmill for 30 min and did 200 crunches on the ab machine at the local ymca. Pushing for day to 2 to be even better!!!

Hi to all.

Yesterday I had some things improved and some not so good. I did so much better with my water intake. I had 7 glasses of water compared to 3 or 4 a day that I was averaging. Today I'm going for 8.
Why is exercise so difficult for me to get in each day? Still not sleeping well so always feel tired. If I exercised every day I probably would sleep better too. Will go for a nice morning walk after I finish with OH posting.
Put my food and water intake in the health tracker. Saw way to many carbs by the end of the day. Will improve that today. I eat carbs and then I want more carbs. Will break that cycle today. I really need to set a menu for the week. I used to do that all the time, but it went by the wayside since my surgery. Will work on that today also.
Lots to do today to improve my WLS journey. Will do my very best. I did get every medication and supplement in yesterday. I'm thrilled about that. Baby steps for me too. Looking for good improvement not perfection. I know I can get back on track.
Everyone have a wonderful Tuesday. I'm so happy that we are doing this. I think it is helping me be accountable for my actions.
      As always,    Mag

so for monday I did well on keeping carbs at bay. Did great at getting in water and crystal light. Did have one more cup of coffee than I intended to, but still not bad. Will space them out more tomorrow to TRY to keep it at 3cups.  I am a BIG coffee drinker, so 3 cups a day is great for me.

No walk in today, as the evening ran away from me due to working in the garage we are building. Got in TONS of activity doing that and finishing the planting of the garden so far. I think I didn't eat quite enough today, but never really got hungry until dinner. But i did have some small things to eat periodically ... mostly protein based.

Well it is way past bedtime, more garage work in the morning, and i am whooped! Will check in tomorrow. I wonder if I could have at least lost some water weight today?!? hmmm we shall see in the morning.

Awesome job! Keep with it lady. I hope your arm feels better very soon and all goes well at the dentist.
Think I need to see a dentist too. Discovered a painful spot on a tooth...arghhhh...  Get plenty of liquids and don't leave the veggies out, just keep them low carb veggies! I am right there in the New Atkins - phase 1 (induction) bu****ching fats closer than they call for.

Looking forward to hearing how today goes for you.
