Sorry to hear about your grandson. I hope it's a passing thing and he gets over it quickly.
I did OK yesterday, although I admit there was a moment in the evening when I almost caved in. My diet consisted of protein and a little salad. In the evening, when I felt really hungry for some reason, I had a cup of soup with a piece of cheese and made it through the night. My plans for today include the dentist (finally!) and preparing some papers to be filed with the tax authorities, otherwise I'm as lazy as usual! Have a nice day!

Got a shorter than planned walk in today, as it was interrupted by a call from my daughter that she had to take my grandson to denvers childrens hospital. Am now just waiting on word of if he stays or not. Projectile vomitting intermittantly all week. Would seem over it than wham! He has a history of digestive issues, usually not able to pass a bm. Hoping they find whatever is causing his troubles and take care of it.

Got some other activity in around here cleaning, yard stuff, etc. I am running on pure exhaustion. Ready to go to bed. Will check in in the morning at some point. May be heading to Denver tho. If my grandson is admitted I will go up there for at least a few hours. (also means 4 to 41/2 hrs driving time round trip. ughhh.
I had better pack a small cooler with water, crystal light, protein stuff etc so I can stay on track.

Wishing you the best of luck in getting back to sleep.

It is looking like I may lose my "ME" time. My daughter took my grandson to the doctor for vomitting that has been intermittent all week, but projectile when happening. They told her to take him to Childrens hosp in Denver as he has a history of digestive trouble so if they have to stay, I will be heading up there tomorrow morning. I wish they would just figure out what is going on with him and fix it! He'll be a year soon and this has been going on since 2 weeks old, only usually just can't pass a BM.

Got a walk in, however not the 2.5 I had hoped for, but did get lots of other activity in... could have been better or worse. Walk was cut short by call from my daughter on my grandson. Had that doggone "other" cup of coffee this evening. but other than that, did well for the most part.

I am just curious, was 46 your total lost, or was there regain involved? Have you check with your surgeon on why RNY may not being as effective for you as you had expected?

Welcome to our group! The weight loss does slow down an awful lot after 8 months or so. But don't give up. I omnly had 115 ish to lose, and it took me a full 2 years, but I got there and if you are disciplined you can too.

Try googling for chair exercises. Any exercise helps. I hope as you continue to lose weight, your health problems improve a lot for you.

We do have buddy's here! I will do all I can to encourage you, but I am not able to get on tooo often, as lifeis crazy

Hi, Charlene,
I haven't had my surgery yet so I'm not really qualified to mentor you.  However, I can try to encourage you.  46 pounds is something... it's a big step.  I'm sure others will be offer some solid words of wisdom and encouragement as well as good advice and steps you can take to get it kick started again.  I'm 57 and hope to get a date for my surgery soon... could be about 2 months or it could be 6 months... insurance will say.  Hang in there, Charlene!
I hope you dance with enthusiasm... and a million other things joyful!
