Hi all,

Food is going well. I'm probably erring on the side of not enough. Had 1/2 cup of GO LEAN with 3 ounces 1% milk and a small banana. Had in 32 ounces of water by 2PM which is good for me. I know I had a healthy lunch but can' remember what it was.  lol   Silly me.  I'll think of it later (I hope) because I need to put it in my food tracker. Sipped water during chat tonight. I was only there from 4:30 til 5:00.
The bad news is I put my knee out. Not due for a shot for 1 month. The good news is I tried on 2 of my knee braces today and they are both too big. I got the smallest one down from the top shelf of the closet, but haven't put it on yet. We did some new exercises at PT to try to not upset the knee any more than it is. Dr. Hinkle said to take Tuesday and Wednesday off and he will see me on Thursday to decide what to do with. me. Darn. I don't want to fall behind schedule. I may need to do the knee replacement sooner rather than holding off until December like I wanted. I worry that I would not be healed enough to enjoy Indiana Starting August 23rd and then Orlando, Florida in September. What to do? I'm not sure. Be patient until Thursday.
   Hugs to all,     Mag

Thank you Patrece for your words.  I will relax.  I just have to remember that this isn't and instant cure and that I am in control of my body.  Appreciate your advice about the meals.

Hi "Candy",
I agree with everything Kathy said. It took me 2 years from the first time I attended a seminar until. I had my surgery. I'm glad for the wait. I was so much more informed and sure about my choice of surgery. (RNY)    I ended up changing my insurance company because the first one didn't even know their own requirements. All is well and I love my surgeon and hospital....Hope all goes well with you. Looking forward to knowing you better.   Mag

ok so I have had a pretty good day so far.   Made a spur of the moment call to the gym and got an appt with my new trainer.  Most of it was assessment type stuff, but I learned alot.  Did my weight and my measurements (but dummy me forgot to get them from her)

-Took my vitamins yesterday and on a good start today.
- Had my protein shake today
-ate breakfast
-  Made it to the gym
- SF pudding today for my sweet tooth
- cooking cabbage for dinner ( so there goes my veggies)

I am a bit tired though.  Worked lastnight.   Went to the hospital to pick up my prescriptions and had to wait 40minutes.  Then went to giruardis and got some things that I needed (flaxseed for one).  Then I came home to give fiance something and headed right back out to chiropractor.  Luckily they saw me early.  I then came home and got 2 hours sleep before heading to the gym.  Getting ready to take a nap.  I would wait and just go to bed early, but if I do that then I will be awake early.  So I will take a nap, then get up and eat dinner, then take my last set of meds.  Will go back to bed around 2am (which is my usual).  Gonna start taking Melatonin nightly.. tonights will the the 1st night

i really need to clock some walking routes.  But I need to work up to that first.  There are hills no matter which way i go.  I fear that after 2 months of NO exercise, that may be pushing yoo far too fast..

As far as being nice to myself,  I have started reading again.  I have always loved to read, but have not been allowing myself that luxury.  Have been taking the time lately.

sounds like a good idea.. but in theory.  not sure if I would eat it after its been frozen though.  I will do chili and spaghetti sauce like that, soups as well.  I am thinking of marinating some chicken breasts and cooking them then dicing them up and freezing them.  Wouldnt be too hard to fry up some onions and peppers or add some salsa and shredded cheese for a meal.  I guess I need to get creative.  thans for brain storming.

Welcome to the losing side of surgery. Those that have issues with nausea and vomiting happen. I would like to share that I have only thrown up once since surgery. And I knew better then too, this was the first time I tried raw carrots after surgery, I was a few months out and simply did not chew it well enough. Got stuck and a little later, came back to haunt me. Lesson learned, chew, chew and chew some more.

Congrats on your success, 8 pounds the first week is great. Keep working on following the program set out by your surgeon. Hugs
