Yeah, the carbs are a little up there for how you have been doing it, but once in a while we all need a little something special. Just have to know we can't do it on a regular basis.

Enjoy your outting tomorrow. I hope you have a fun time. Has your vision cleared up at all yet?

The painting is a huge project! I got all of the cutting in done with the primer. Now have to use the roller and cover the ceilings and walls with a coat of primer. Then on to the actual paint. It seemed like cutting in went quick, but the time passed quicker. It'll ghet there eventualluy. Wanna make sure it is done so if I do indeed have an ulcer and need surgery on it, I won't have this project hanging over my head.

have a wonderful weekend!

still going strong.  Been slack on water though.  Gotta increase that.  Went to the gym twice this week  (1h personal trainer sessions) and I plan to go tomorrow as well.  I have found that I havent really wanted to eat anything..  i dont know if I am getting bored with the same ole stuff.  Anyways got some steamed shrimp that I am gonna eat on this weekend and a stuffed flounder filet that I cant wait to sink my teeth into tonight.  Been doing great with taking my vitamins and supplement.  However the multi was new and it started making me nauseated.  So I decided to go back to the ones that I know that I can tolerate. We shall see.

Sat outside on my new patio furniture.  It was hot outside but not humid.  Nice breeze.  It felt so great.

I am working on eating for 30 minutes and not longer (which I have been taking 45 minutes). I am trying to increase my walking to 1 hr and 30 minutes!

Welcome Amy! I just had surgery on May 13th 2011. I understand your concern with your insurance! I had a heck of a time getting approved (mostly because I was "healthy")! This group is awesome for any questions and concerns that you have! They sure helped me when I needed it most!

Good luck quitting the smokes Patrece! Unfortunately, I  have not been able to do the same. Oh, and have fun painting.
I apologize for posting a little late today, but I wanted to report for 2 days, since it's a good possibility that tomorrow I won't be able to post. Anyway, here is yesterday: I continued my protein-heavy diet with cheese and some salami for breakfast and of course my coffee. Lunch was a chicken burger patty with some salad and dinner was about half a veal steak and I sneaked in a couple of French Fries when no one was looking!
Today's breakfast was tomato and 1 egg (see recipes) plus about 3 tbsp of yogurt with 1tsp of honey. I wanted this last to help with BM because I've been having trouble. It worked!
Lunch was the top part of a chicken leg and a peas/onion/mushroom concoction and dinner was really wierd. At mid-afternoon I had a snack of a couple of slices of Genoa salami, a slice of cheddar cheese and a couple of breadsticks so when dinner came I was waay too full to finish even half of my dinner of rigatoni, meat sauce and salad which is just as well if you ask me because I was overdoing it in the carbs dept.
Tomorrow (Satueday) we have planned some shopping, dinner out and maybe a movie so please forgive me if I don't check in.

LOL. I hear ya. Some foods are certainly missable. Try turkey bacon, it is actually pretty darned good. I follow a low carb plan, with some fat ok, but not toooo much. It actually ha**** the point where if I eat something with a bit too much fat, my body revolts and I feel the grease floating in my pouch. Blahhhh. I too now prefer fruit over the former sweet treats I used to want. My body seems to appreciate the healthier diet and asks for the better foods now.

I had the RNY, and I have had no complications. I would do it again in a heartbeat. My daughter had it also, had a few complications, but she too would do it again in a heartbeat.  I am glad you will have the opportunity to discuss it all with your surgeon soon. Keep us posted on how it all goes, and what procedure it ends up you will be having.

Have a great day!
